All time low interest point - Anyone else?

I fully expected the main event to be boring as shit. inshallah or whatever

Could current day GSP go into a training camp and win the title in 3 months? I'd say yes. I would bet on 43 year old GSP to beat Belal, Leon, Colby and Usman. The fact people were arguing Usman was GOAT is absolutely ludicrous.

Ok hold your horses buddy, you are going a bit too far with this lol

UFC is dying confirmed.

Having a sport run by a pink goof is a recipe for disaster.

Whom are they
Kayla, Weilli, Oliveira, Aldo, Jailton... and you can add Taira to the list. Okay, 6 fighters, two more than I expected. I would have had MVP on that list, but then he looked like he had never trained for the ground in his life and I jumped off that bandwagon.

What about the last version of him we saw? The one in 2017 who beat Bisping. I think that guy could come off the couch and handily beat Belal, Usman, Leon, or Colby.
I'm not saying it's a skill or experience issue, but taking a fuck ton of time off and aging are the two biggest factors.

Belal, Usman, Leon have all been active compared to Georges and training their reflexes, timing, patterns, going through full fight camps and the whole nine while GSP has been relaxing and just doing some general fitness. If he comes back now, he is going to look like he is stuck in molasses compared to these guys.

UFC has just been the same thing over and over again. Its getting rather boring. Same formula. They need to changed some rules or some presentation, something.

I went from "shit eating wildman" to "watch the highlights the next day" a few years ago. I don't think it's me getting older, it's just not exciting anymore.
Yep. 100% agreed. I can't trust that deserving fighters are going to get title shots for their hard work or that other fighters are going to deserve their title shots (it really kills my interest in the sport to see them getting easy paths to the title or just blatantly having the deck stacked for them). On top of all the other UFC bullshit, I'm less interested than ever.

Dana literally said that even he and his team were questioning it at one point. They should start looking at it again.

How do you explain the sudden drop in power across the entire roster?

Poirier himself said they are thinner. We've had about two months with them, which isn't a big enough sample size to come to any worthwhile conclusion, yet there people crying about it here, which to be fair, is common practice as everyone here cries about almost everything.

We've had a huge drop in the old guard. The UFC needs to build up stars to fill the roster. I look at it as an early transition stage for whatever this next new era will be.

For some perspective, I'd be more likely to watch this thread than watch a UFC card these days
