2013 goals thread

540 DL
475 Squat
315 Bench
225 Push Press
210 bodyweight

Fight at least one more time

I want to make some updates on my goals.

1. 2x body weight squat. (Currently 425 @225 or 1.88) This should be easy.
2. 2.5x Deadlift (Currently 500@225 or 2.22) Also easy
3. Get back to a 300 Bench. (Haven't benched in a while, last night 205x7 was hard)
4. Bench 315
5. Push press 225 (last push press was 205)
6. Bodyweight Push Press
7. 1300 total (I'm at 1225 if I can still get a 300 Bench)
8. 475 Squat (425 current)
9. 540 DL (500 current)
10. If everything comes together that would be a 1330 total at 210 or a Wilks of 374.817

These are great goals. It is going to be awesome to see her achieve them.

Just don't let her slack on the logging!

I see this happening! And best of luck!

Dangit, Keo beat me to this. It's my goal to be better about loggin this year (even if I get hurt...that's what really caused me to just shut things down for several weeks here), so I will try! And I really do want to try for these goals. I look forward to the process.

- Get good marks.
- Have my training continue to go well.
- Don't get injured so that I can bench consistently.
- Squat 550 lbs.
- Bench 325 lbs.
- Deadlift 630 lbs.
- Do all the above at my current BW.

Posting for Babyeater, who hasn't gotten her shit together long enough to stop in here:

Next year, she wants to become the top-ranked 105-lber. in the country (she currently has to total over 639 lbs. to do so), have the top-ranked deadlift (current best is 304 lbs.), and break the American raw deadlift record for her weight class (330 lbs., set in 1977).

I am very confident that, barring any setbacks, she'll accomplish all of these things

omg this is so exciting! I feel like she can actually exceed all of these things. What are you sneaking into her cereal (or in her case, probably chicken) in the morning?

We just live and train under the same philosophies. No secrets.

wow, would be awesome to break a 36 year old record. Good luck Babyeater and coach keo

I have an 800lb total and I'm shooting for a 1100 total in 2013. I'd like to compete in a PL competition also.

Bump!

Goals for June 2013
Squat: 355 lb FAIL
Bench: 215 DONE
Deadlift: 475 FAIL
Bodyweight: < 200 FAIL
Muay Thai: Train at least twice/week, DONE spar at least once/week FAIL

Bench was the important one so I'm happy with that. My weight is actually up to 210 which is disappointing but I only have my junk food eating ways to blame for that. I was pretty consistent with Muay Thai but my schedule kept me from sparring.

Goals for Dec 2013
Squat: 355
Bench: 225
Deadlift: 475
Bodyweight: < 205 lb

I might test my deadlift and bench before the end of June and if I hit new PRs I'll update my goals.

Will probably tweak these goals based on how my end of year PRs go.

Squat 450 (current 395)
Bench 250 (current 235)
Deadlift 500 (current 440)
Press 180 (current 160)
Jerk 300 (current 264)

Right now, my numbers are:

Squat - 413
Bench - 255 (tng), 245 (paused)
Deadlift - 475
Press - 176

Right now, my goals are to first hit a 440 squat and a 500 deadlift. I'd also like to pause 255 and tng 265 before the end of the year. Pressing 180 should be easy. Don't know when I'll be doing jerks, but regardless it's not a training priority.

Starting next week, I plan to run Sheiko.

After failing all my goals last year but keeping the beard, this year it's time for some realism.

1. Train smart and stay consistent.
2. Don't be so scared of bigger weights anymore.
3. Get swole and slightly jacked.
4. Do some other stuff than just lifting.

Snatch: 50 (not maxed) -> 75
C&J: 70 (not maxed) -> 100
BS: 112.5 -> 140
FS: 85 -> 105
PP: 70 -> 90
SGDL: 112.5 -> 140
Beat belph to the 20"-neck.
Win the DL&Press-comp with my awesome team.

My four main goals are doing alright, my new maxes might need some work, but don't look all that bad...

- Get good marks. DONE
- Have my training continue to go well. IN PROGRESS
- Don't get injured so that I can bench consistently. SO FAR, SO GOOD
- Squat 550 lbs. HOPEFULLY
- Bench 325 lbs. soon.jpg
- Deadlift 630 lbs. NOT SURE...MAYBE?
- Do all the above at my current BW. NOT SURE WHAT CURRENT BW WAS. GOT A LITTLE MORE SWOLE.

...

Well, considering I"m not going to be able to hit some of my 2012 goals (due to going out of town and small injuries towards the end of the year) Even though I came damn close lol. My first goal's to hit them up, and then move on to my 2013 goals :D

current:
Snatch: 185
C&J: 235
ATG Squat: 325x5
FS: 285

2012 goals:
Snatch: 200
C&J: 250

2013 goals.

Snatch: 250
C&J: 315
Squat: 405
Bodyweight: sub 170
BJJ: purple belt by summer.

The snatch and C&J are pretty lofty goals, so I have no idea if i"m going to hit them or not haha. But we shall see.

Unfortunately I had to stop the Oly lifting...soo looks like these goals ain't gonna be reachable. :(

Neither the snatch nor C&J were close lol. Bodyweight atm IS below 170, and hopefully I'm close to my purple...hard to tell with my coach though..

Updated goals:
squat: 405 (still in progress on this one)
Deadlift: 500
Bench: 300
OHP: 200

I want my bodyweight to go down closer to 160 this year, and compete in a kickboxing match hopefully late this summer.

405x1 squat uhh... 475 DL.

Get back into benching and tie my 290lb PR..

Stay injury free... (highly unlikely)

Work on oly lift form.

Get cut like a turkey on thanksgiving.. roughly 175+ BW (185 right naao)

Sweeeet all done.

Except I didn't get that cut when I started dieting.

Oh well.

and my OLY lifts still suck penor.

_______________________________________________________________________

New Goals:

Squat: 420
Bench: 315
Deadlift: 510

My PRs are:
BS: 335
DL: 365
BP: 235
SP: 150

Snatch: 105
C&J: 150

At a bodyweight of ~128

My last powerlifting competition, I didn't hit my PRs, so I'd like to get back on track and break my PRs. I ended up taking 2nd. Bullshit.

Bump, for half-way-there checkpoint.

Squat: 185 => 200 ON HOLD BUT WILL BE DONE (190)
DL: 140 => 200 DONE (200)
SOHP: 72.5 => 85 IN PROGRESS (80)

Power Clean: 90x2 => 110 DONE (115)
Power Snatch: 60x2 => 80 ON HOLD BUT WILL BE DONE (72.5)

Bench: 100 => max without health issues (120 would be great) IN PROGRESS (112.5)
100m Sprint: blown hammies => 100% intensity without health issues (under 11.5 would be great) HOPEFULLY?

Knees issues have thwarted squat and oly lift progress. If the knee if well by August/September, I should be able to get to dat dere 200 squat in time.

Updated Goals:

Squat: 190 => 200
DL: 200 => 220
SOHP: 80 => 85

Power Clean: 115 => 120
Power Snatch: 72.5 => 80

Bench: 112.5 => 120 without shoulder issues
100m Sprint: blown hammies => < 12 seconds

At the beginning of this year, my only goal was to figure out my injury, and get back to doing as much as possible. I've seen definite success with that goal, so that's good.

My goals for this year are simple:

1. Keep my back healthy.

2. Total 1,000 lbs at 181 lbs bodyweight.

3. Maintain and/or progress my conditioning and bodyweight abilities while achieving the other two goals.
