$1239.60

I agree. Also, requiring a subscription just to buy a PPVs discourages casuals and curiosity seekers.

100% paywall to a paywall is just dumb. But that also brings up a whole other problem which is even without that, a $70 price tag is a big turn off for anybody not committed to the sport already.

They’re stunting the growth of the sport and pushing away potential consumers before they even start. Making it easier to access both by design and by pricetag makes it far more approachable for new fans, thus growing the sport. UFC is shooting itself in the foot in every way with their archaic ppv model.

Add in Showtime, ACA, Paramount+, RIZIN, and perhaps a few other Org PPVs/Paywalls...

Thay have more than their pound a flesh from me (yea I know the analogy isn't truthfully apt)....

I support the UFC when they put on good events. I purchased, 264, 266, 267, 268 and I’m planning on buying 269. I don’t have ESPN+ and always stream the prelims.

1239.60 is the yearly cost, I divide by 12 to get a monthly view. Get it?

1239 is not the yearly cost. There are only 13 ppvs, not 16, there was 11 last year, 12 in 2019. There is no need for fight pass it doesnt even air ufcs

Let me demonstrate, in image form, the sentiment which our mathematically deficient fellow poster likely shares upon reading your (ideally, wholly unnecessary) clarification.

This entire thread is based on the fact there is 16 ppvs per year which there is not, or that you need to buy fight pass to watch ufc when fight pass doesnt even air ufc events.

Unfortunately i was smart enough to instantly realize that while you idiots, who dont even order ppvs, argue about a price point that doesnt even exist.

I typically split the cards and food with five or six friends but then covid hit and I was watching cards alone. I knew there was no coming back either, lol.
Once you watch card naked, eating chicken wings and smashing rails by yourself, nothing will be the same. I'm not allowed in Boston pizza anymore. Fuck, taking your pants and doing lines at your table is "against company policy" there.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL.

I didn't dive deep into the numbers, I just used the yearly figure that TS had posted in the picture

Watch card naked with top of the line escort in 5* hotel with best full 4K screen, with strawberries & champagne on the side. And drugs, lots of drugs.

Opposite here. Ever since the UFC migrated to espn +, I find that big PPVs (such as McGoobin cards) have horrible lag, buffering issues, and outright connection terminations (and I have gigabit internet speed), so I've actually stopped paying for them.

UFC continues to exemplify its second rate bush-league status at all times.
I've had major performance issues myself and I'm on a business internet connection. For the money to pay for these PPV's, that isn't cool.

About $100 per month for 1 ppv and 2-3 fight nights. I can work with that, but it would be nice if they could cut us a deal or maybe reward us for our loyalty or something
This makes sense -- kinda like Playstation Plus or XBOX Gamepass where you can save a good chunk of coin if you purchase an annual plan.

What is how much Meisha Tate took home after paying for training camp?

UFC pay for $1000, Alex.

RIP, Alex.

That's why I pay for a VPN and watch everything on Fight Pass lmao

ESPN+ and 2-3 preferred ppvs a year. It’s bad, but not THAT bad. You really aren’t supposed to get every fkn one.. Get the great ones and the ones with personal favs. I got the last one for chandler v Gaejthe and slept through the main event, and was not upset at the purchase.

Are you getting ESPN plus to work okay? I bought it a couple years ago and the service was terrible. The platform itself kind of sucked too even when it did work. I don't have trouble with other streaming platforms, but ESPN plus was complete dog s***. It was kind of disappointing, but I would consider it again if they have made some positive changes...

Streaming at first was low quality. Not sure if that was due to my wifi. Noticed on free cards it’s more susceptible to lag. On PPVs it seems more reliable.

One of the biggest mistakes UFC made was removing the ability to buy the events on YouTube. I watched one Connor card through it and experienced zero issues. The UFC app runs into trouble as soon as there's a big event. Luckily there's a bar about 400m from my house that shows the fights. It just means I have to deal with a bunch of sherdoggers in person.
