Tom Aspinall continues to face criticism after being eye-poked at UFC 321.

The UFC heavyweight champion was the victim of a double eye poke from Ciryl Gane in the first round of their fight in October.

Many fans were unhappy when Tom Aspinall was unable to continue, and his first undisputed title defense was declared a no-contest.

The British fan favorite silenced most of his doubters by releasing his full medical report on Sunday.

Several hours later, Tom Aspinall spoke about his eye injury and the aftermath of UFC 321 in a 12-minute YouTube video.

A clip of him branding Ciryl Gane a ‘big cheater’ has since gone viral on social media.

The guy was trying to f—ing poke my eyes out,” Aspinall said.

“The guy was cheating from the first second… I think he’s a big cheater. Look at all his fights.”

Former UFC star Ben Askren wasn’t impressed after stumbling across the video on X.

“This is so whiny. Bad look,” he wrote after reposting the viral clip with his followers.

Tom Aspinall’s next fight

Fans thought Dana White took a ‘subtle dig’ at Tom Aspinall during his UFC 321 post-fight press conference

“Tom didn’t want to continue in the fight,” the UFC boss told assembled media members.

It’s safe to say that comment did not go down well with Aspinall, who is not happy with Dana White right now.

“I’ll tell you why I didn’t continue, because I’m not a f—— dummy,” Aspinall said.

“I’m not gonna go out there and fight one of the best strikers in the world if I can’t see with any eye…

“When it’s a foul, why am I going to put my health at risk when I can’t see at all.”

Aspinall then laughed when he was asked, “So you’re not too happy then on what the president of the organization is saying towards it?”

“Well, what do you think?” he replied

So much for the “only morons criticize Tom” narrative <lol>
Well, Idk that Ben isn't a moron.

I've been on the guy's side since the illness. BUT - dude is now on social media talking about the horrors of socialism, while accepting go fund me's and other donations for his treatment.

I'm not even trying to get into the politics of it all, but IMO at the very least that's some "read the room" kinda shit. He's crossed quite a few of those that donated with that crap the last few weeks.

Well shit...if I thought only morons criticized him then I'd also be calling myself a moron. Because I've said that the way he and his team have handled the aftermath of this has been stupid.

He is absolutely open to be criticized and should be for certain things. When I call people idiots on this topic, it's not for criticizing him. It's for the specifics of what they're saying.

The average American, and I'm one, doesn't even realize we have plenty of examples of socialism, e.g. police and fire depts, libraries, public parks, public schools, roads, etc. It's an uneducated take, I think they're afraid to say communism or fascism. 🤔

Am I the only one confused by "UFC legend" being used to describe Ben Askren? Big fan of his pre-UFC days, but he is not a "UFC legend. MMA legend might even be a bit of stretch albeit more accurate.

I think a lot of this could have been avoided by just saying, "when my eye heals up i'll rematch or defend against someone new if that's what the UFC wants to do" anything else is just going to work against him.
