What you mean? There are heaps of fighters who have never had boring championship fights.

Volk, Max, Topuria, Jones, DC, Stipe. Pantoja, Figgy, Moreno, Edgar, Aldo, Bisping, Dillashaw, Cruz, etc.

Just because Chimaev put on a stinker, doesn't mean all the other champ level fighters did.

Volk vs. Max 1 was 5 rounds of leg kicking, not entertaining at all.

None of Volk vs Max's fights were boring wtf.

Top might have just become champ but he's had 3 title fights now and all were amazing.

Only title fight of Jon's that was boring was the OSP fight. I'll give you that one. Sort of forgot about that stupid fight.

DC/Stipe 3 was still good.

Not one of Bisping's 3 title fights were boring at all, even if he was a point fighter. All 3 were awesome.

Edgar/BJ fights were still not stinkers, but thinking about Edgar some more, I remember thinking his fights against Bendo weren't great to watch.

Sounds like you can teach Chimaev a thing or two about MMA

Valentina has finished several fights from this position.

You are trapping your opponent's arm with your legs and their other arm with one of your arms. Your opponent has no arms free to defend blows to the head. You only have one arm free. You can throw punches but it's hard to generate force that way.

You can get a finish but you probably need to throw elbows to do it.

If Khamzat wants to finish people from crucifix, he needs to practice elbows from crucifix.

There might also be a way to do an americana or some other arm lock from crucifix but not sure that I've seen that before in MMA

The match was extremely exciting for me. It was known that until the very end Hamzat did not secure the belt and that he could be knocked out. In the ground floor, he made a real masterpiece holding DDP.

Now that he got that out of the way i doubt he will fight boring again.

possibly. or possibly he gets paranoid about losing the belt and goes all gsp and turns into a decision machine from here on out. could be a lot of LnP in our future.

his win vs Usman was pretty boring too. seems like the harder the fights the more boring he gets. don't forget his great level of activity. 1 fight a year before he was even champion. can't imagine what his rate of fighting is going to be now. he really sold me on the "smesh everybody" too when he kneed a guy in his ass for 15 minutes while spooning him.
