I don't care.

He had a stinker. People are going to post shit. That's how it goes.

You know "Khazmat is not worth watching" is an unpopular opinion and is an exaggeration of the core complaint, the fight was boring.

I've got zero pity for the Khamzat fans who spent the last few days calling everyone stupid, a casual, go watching something else (which is way more common) getting triggered over 1 guy in a a off topic thread saying he wont watch Khazmat anymore. You guys deserve it imo.

I actually found that fight unentertaining in comparison to what Khamzat is done in the past. So yeah I understand people's complaints and disappointment of the fight. It's understandable and warranted. People have that right and all the power to you. I'm not triggered at all, I'm just explaining that Khamzat is consistently entertaining and one fight shouldn't be the be all or end all. That's all, no big deal.

If you disagree with what I said, than that's fine as well. It's all good.

Take a innocuous comment and turn it into a narrative. typical.

AND then use this one comment as justification to trash everyone who isn’t sucking their fighter’s nuts or who dared to write anything other than “praises”… That’s why many bathtubbers (though I’m not sure if TS is one) love to do this: create buzz around one comment, then use it to generalize and attack everyone who doesn’t share their opinion. I swear, they are the only "fanbase" which are worse winners than losers.

I don't blame Khamzat to play it smart and just get the victory. It's just too risky for him to make a mistake by going for a submission that can take him out of position if he misses. It's just pure smart tactics on his part. He did what he had to do and he won. That's all that matters.
You just described every one of his upcoming fights as champ. Safe, boring, economizing for 5 rounds against guys who are just good enough not to get submitted easily. Enjoy yourself.

Please, go and quote 5 guys who wrote that and who are no white belts and/or have accounts that are older than 2 years.

Lets see how many wrote that so that it was worth opening a thread with a title as yours. thank you.

I don't have to do that, if you don't like what I wrote move on, don't click on my threads or put me on ignore. But bottomline people have said that on here. Yes it's a small minority, but people have mentioned not watching Khamzat again in a fight. And I know one guy who's a massive poster here that said he wouldn't watch Khamzat again. I don't know want to name names. But he's a well known poster that's all I'm going to say.

I will and thank you. I love you to.

Why did "he" ruin it? Why is the onus on the guy dominating to change what he's doing to be more entertaining? To me that's pure stupidity.

It's just biases and favouritism....

People like to blame izzy for being boring vs yoel, vs cannonier, vs vettori, but those guys were all in stand up fights and could have done ANYTHNING they wanted. But the onus falls on izzy.

you like Khmazat? It was dricus fault. you like Dricus? it was khamzats fault. Anyone blaming one particular fighter in this scenario is biased. Full stop.

Asking for receipts/sources on Sherdog today is like a old boomer asking for VHS tape from a 16-year-old girl

It's gross, strange, somehow demeaning, and everybody is confused.

This is all probably going to be forgotten after his next fight being exciting. Just a temporary complaint imho. I don’t think he’s gone the boring route at all

So...imo it's not. Not for me anyway. You mentioned Izzy/Yoel. Great call. I was rooting for Yoel. Very biased towards him in that fight. But he was losing, and never pressed the action. The onus was on HIM to change how the fight was going. Not Izzy, who was winning.

For some, personal bias probably does determine it but for me it's simple: if you're having success, it's not on you to change the trajectory. It's on the guy you're beating to FORCE you to change things up.

(you seem pretty grounded about yoel/izzy so i'll just shoot)

SOME (not me) may argue that yoel won that fight and it was IZZY that had to do more to win. In reality, They maybe both could have done a bit more.

Dude...I had $ on Yoel and liked him a lot better than Izzy even putting bets aside. And he didn't win that fight. I was frustrated AF at him not pressing things.

yeah but that never stopped izzy haters from trying to argue he lost. embarassing imo, they tried it again with the whittaker rematch. Same as the people who argue jones lost to santos. Very transparent hating.

He doesn’t have a boring fight. Neither did GSP for that matter. I like a good scrap in honor of the just bleed god, but grappling clinics are most welcome too. What Khamzat did was truly impressive against the champ, but as usual people are taking away from Dricus actually being able to hang in there and deny the finish despite getting dominated for 20+ minutes. There wasn’t a single boring minute for me in that fight.

Yeah. He showed that when his back against the wall, he will adapt by being boring as sin. At heart, he's a boring fighter that happened to finish some fights.
An exciting fighter will always dig deep and sacrifice the win to put on a show.

Obviously one is much better for keeping an undefeated record. The other is makes you beloved by fans.
"An exciting fighter will always dig deep and sacrifice the win to put on a show."
That is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Any prize fighter who sacrifices a win to put on a show is an idiot. If its not in their best interests why would they EVER do that?? The goal is to win and get more money.

Fans are the worst influence because they will shit on in your happiest moments. But you were never a fan and are happiest when you can bitch.

People fight for different reasons. Can't put a blanket statement on anything.
They all want to win, but a lot would rather an exciting loss than a boring win. Hell, the UFC values exciting losses more than boring wins.

I've been a fan of this sport for like twenty years. I've earned the right to bitch about shit fights.

I voted yes because of what he did to win the belt.

Now that he has it, aS SmArT and SaFe aS iT WaS, dont you think he'd just do the same thing to keep the belt?

Gee, this has NEVER happened before, I have no idea what im talking about...

A lot of Khamzat's fans will give him another chance.

But when you talk as much trash as he does, say you don't care about the belts, that you're "gonna kill this guy", and then you go and perform like that, taking zero risks... yea you're gonna piss some people off.

He will get his chance to redeem himself.
