Why the hell is The Wkend headlining the halftime show?

I know it was only a Thanksgiving halftime show, but Creed really delivered with this gem:

It was so damn bizarre. A totally untouchable masterpiece. It has dominion over every halftime show there was, or will be.

Well, you gave me one statistic that wasn’t that big of a deal as far as the big picture is concerned. I was pointing out other very important metrics in modern-day musical stardom. Being the current 7th most streamed musical act doesn’t mean you’re as big as Bieber, Swift, Kanye, or even Chris Brown (who is a huge star regardless of current stream status). I mean Wkend is a big act, just not at the top. That’s all I’m saying. The Super Bowl is usually for the very biggest acts, like Shakira last year. She’s a massive star worldwide even if her streams aren’t as popular currently as Da Baby’s are.

Can't complain. I remember Bruno Mars and the 70 year old RHCP members.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

The other thing is, it didn’t matter that Prince was the most popular streamer that year. He was still a gigantic, iconic celebrity who is still way more popular than the current year’s Spotify king.
Yeah exactly. But I probably feel this way because I’m getting old tbf. :)

At least this way I can take a break from watching the game during halftime without really missing anything interesting.

Okay, rooks.

He's a massive flippin star, like Bieber and Shakira. Just because he isn't on our radar doesn't mean he's on a fuckload of adverts and making millions as a catchy pop star. Everyone was complaining about Coldplay, Bruno and Katy. Still massively successful.

If me as a massive metal fan can take my head out of my ass, y'all could do well to be a bit more eclectic.

Bro, I’m as woke as they get. And saying the Wkend is as big as Bieber or Shakira is just nonsense. Those two sell out stadiums in like 5 minutes. The Wkend is simply not on their level. I know you think he is, but nine out of ten people who you randomly asked would not agree.

I mean if you think ignorance is bliss.. i kinda like knowing things and living in reality...

Ignorance allows you to taste the delicious meat. Reality gives you gruel that might taste like Tasty Wheat. Tattered clothes, too.

The best part is the beginning when the music starts followed by the vocals and Stapp himself isn't even singing then he realizes oh shit I better start miming

As big as Bieber, Swift, or Beyoncé?

Ummmm.....no.

He's pretty big, dude. He's probably a slight second tier pop star compared to the heavies, but he's got quite the following. He's not small time by any means.

I also don't get why people get bent out of shape about it. Go put the kettle on and smoke a cigarette. It's like Americans feel like it's some divine right who plays.
