Why can't people get behind Islam like they did Khabib?

He will get there one day. His situation reminds me of Nate Diaz. He lives in Khabibs shadow like Nate did Nick, he’s the quieter more shy version of his mentor. But over time and with enough wins and exposure, his time will come. He will get used to the spotlight. Dare I say now, Nate is way more popular than Nick, if Islam sticks with it he will possibly surpass Khabib as well, especially considering Khabib left way too early imo.

Khabib was more dominant, that's probably why. But give Islam a few more fights and I reckon most people will be aboard, assuming he keeps fighting like this.

Islam beating Volk and Olivera > Khabib beating Conor and Gaethje.
While i agree with that, I still feel like Khabib was more dominant. That may definitely change, and I love both of them, but time will tell.

i think people are just tired of the domination. look at F1 right now, nobody watches because verstappen is just dominating. look at how crazy people get when there is even 5 seconds of them losing in the cage... gaethje with his leg kicks, michael johnson 'wobbling' khabib, volk winning 1-2 minutes of a 25 minute fight.
Lol who the fuck watches car races though, arent those guys midgets to fit in those small cars running in circles
All i know is that f1 brings in rich folks and 10/10 hoes and escorts to the shows thats the only interest i have on that stupid shit.

The Khabib stuff was always fake. You're just seeing it play it now with Islam.

Olivera fight was tipping point here. Everyone sort of took sides and after he destroyed him the Olivera fans have been bitter and cheering for his opponents. Khabib beating Conor was easier for the masses to swallow and get behind. So I think that's the difference.

Is he too dull?.

Not seeing that at all, I think he's actually more fun to watch most of the time, doesnt have Khabib's ability to dominate people via game planning but has plenty of finishes.

I'm guessing he's less popular partly because he's in opposition to some Khabib fans and now also Volk fans, Khabib himself didnt really have a big fanbase who disliked him Conors fanbase vanished like a fart in the wind with that loss.
