Who will have the strength advantage between DDP and Khamzat?

Brute strength probably DDP but Hamzat has that way stronger than he looks kind of look to him so you never know. Wasnt Hamzat curling 60lb dumbells or something like that? Thats crazy.

He was doing alternating dumbbell bench press with 50kg/110 lbs dumbbells.

Why? It's his logical gameplan.
Dricus has been taken down and held down by lesser grapplers. 50% takedown defense.
Old Brunson had him on his back for a good portion of the first round.

LOL.. It was literally like a minute and a half where he caught Dricus's leg after a kick that Brunson had Dricus down and then what happened after that? Dricus reversed Brunson and then Dricus was landing punches on Brunson in round 1 then came back and finished Brunson in the next round.

Also, remember this is Dricus with cardio issues before his nose surgery when he had cardio issues due to only have 13% oxygen through the nose. He breathed mostly from his mouth at the time.

Brunson grabbed his neck and went for a 40-IQ guillotine attempt (when Dricus was getting up), which landed him on bottom.

He was flat on his back in half-guard for a good while before that happened, I never said Brunson did a lot with it.

Also, Khamzat is very much a more dangerous grappler than 39-year old Brunson. I don't think that's a controversial statement.

Grappling sequences where Dricus was on bottom was early in round 1, I don't think his nose issues made that much difference that early in the fight.

Funnily enough, that fight was 11 months after the Burns fight everyone keep going on about regarding Khamzat's performance.

Also the last time Dricus faced a wrestler, surely it carries some relevance.

I am just disputing the fact that Dricus was on his back for a 'good portion' of round 1 when it was literally like a minute and a half.

Minute and a half is 30% of the round.

If you have a cake and someone takes a 30% slice, you wouldn't think that's a pretty good portion of the cake?

Good lord thats strong

Huh? I can do dumbbell presses in each hand with 80 lbs and I am nothing special. Just trained for several years. I can bench press using barbells with over 200+ lbs for reps.

Your strong bro, thats not easy for the regular person especially at a 170lb or lower guy.

Bro, I am only 175 lbs (5'9.5"). Just a lot of sets and reps. You start building strength and can get to 80 lbs dumbbell presses for a few reps naturally.

Alternating might make it slightly tougher, having full range of motion and doing it for reps.

His one rep max based on that would likely put him in between intermediate and advanced, that's not bad for someone who is not training specifically to lift as much weight as possible.

Congratulations on your gym progress.

Nobody knows exactly if Khamzat has even the gastank for a 5 rounder. He has never proven something like that or better: the longer the fights are going the more he gasses. Seen in the Burns and Usman fights. If he can´t get an advantage in the first 2 rounds Khamzat seems fucked.
Whatever the books may tell, I have DDP as the favorite and way stronger fighter.

Eventually someone is gonna stop Khamzat's wrestling, but it's gonna take more than brute strength.

But oh man, when someone does stop Khamzat's wrestling, and he's gassed in rounds 3-5, he's gonna take a beating.

He had the cardio to throw big overhands for 3 rounds vs Burns, winning a close round 3 after getting hurt in round 2.
Increased his output each round.

He had enough cardio to take down and control Usman in round 3, even with a broken hand ligament and a fever.

Those are facts and disprove the myth that he has Michel Pereira-levels of cardio, as one might think by reading on sherdog.

Can he lose in the later rounds? Of course, but he can also win, as he proved the 2 times he actually got to a decision in the UFC.

Khamzat for sure has the potential to dominate like Khabib did.
