This video has been trending. Seeing JJ said he's getting leaner and more like his LHW size, and Ank had called him firstly saying "come to light heavy and face Big Ank"... The Ank was radio silent for a while and started calling Alex rematch at all costs, I wouldn't find it hard that daddy goes back to light heavy to challenge big Ank with that KiTone IQ supplement that gives JJ a enhanced focus and better timing — which is legal as per the new rules and Pereira goes to HW instead. Switch places. Who knows

If Alex wins the belt back I could see it …..marketable stylistically winnable fight

My prediction is that Alex will beat Ank in the rematch or he won't fight the rematch and then he will beat Tom Aspinall, and let Jiri Prochazka fight against Ankalaev (which is better than moving up with a belt, and becoming champ champ, it's better to pass the torch and move up, like he did at MW, he lost to Adesanya). And Tom is more winnable for JJ than Alex Pereira would be. You underestimate who stone face Alex is... Topuria himself said "we need Alex as champion again"

Ankalaev is as tough for JJ as Alex is. Actually Alex is tougher I'd say. Tom is less tough for JJ imo. It goes Alex>Ank>Tom ... JJ is right there with Alex imo

Anything to avoid fighting Tom Aspinall.

Kinda sad that he has ruined his legacy so badly.
Anything what? It's all timing. The UFC didn't make the fight because they knew everything. It's not because JJ didn't make things clear. Avoiding is what Islam did, ran away when Topuria was coming and left Charles Oliveira to be decimated. Dagestani fighters like Topuria said are all brave when young, but when the pressure is on them, they ran way and avoid risky fights against younger contenders. JJ has beat many up and comers, he isn't a duck like Islam who ran away from Topuria after having defended his belt 4x. And Islam is 33 yo, young still, has fought wayyy less for championship fights than JJ. Yet the "I'll defend my belt " bravery after the Moicano win went away as soon as Topuria was coming. He's the true duck.

Like, I hope Alex Pereira shows up as Chama in Abu Dhabi, with the stone face from the rituals in his native tribe and is 100% dialed in like he was vs Jiri Prochazka... Not with Norovirus. Then he will hunt down Ankalaev. If you see the fight vs Jiri Prochazka 2, that Alex isn't losing to Ankalaev. It's not an easy fight but he will end up getting the win and mauling Ankalaev and I hope he's as Chama as he can be to make them taste their own medicine too. Either that or JJ fights Ankalaev or Tom full on turinabol and beats the shit out of them in round 2. Like Topuria said, Dagestanis talk big but when facing an up and comer, they run away while sounding the "heroes" and "non ducks" while they're the true ducks. They're just brave when at the peak of their age and run away from young contenders that are powerful as soon as they are older than 30. Calling JJ a duck when he will still fight anyways, just wait, while Islam the true duck that ran while being at the peak of his career is quite ironic. It'll still bite you in the ass as even at 38 JJ can beat up Tom.

What do you mean the UFC "didn't make the fight"? You assured us for months that the fight happened in secret and the footage would be released. Now we find out you lied to us. We cannot believe anything you say anymore, Luff. Sad day.

JJ won't be dropping to LHW, it would be a lot of work to hit that weight and I don't think he has it in him. Any future fights are at HW, if at all.

It was how I projected the future fight with my amazing visualization and ability to see patterns skills. JJ will still fight Tom, either him or Alex Pereira, if Tom beats Gane. The UFC made the fight in the sense Jones got paid. He wouldn't get paid if he isn't going to fight duh. But the timing for the fight wasn't big, Tom still wasn't that well known, they want to get the most they can off a JJ last fight when the payment JJ got was big and well deserved. So making the fight when fans were calling for his retirement, with even Tom raising the strip Jones petition when Jones said he and the UFC and Tom were aligned and waiting for a deadline (Tom raised the petition before JJ "retired")... It's all part of an act to get the most they can of the fight. New deals with broadcasts, a perfect timing to have the fights, Tom becoming even bigger by beating Gane... The UFC wants profit over the fight too.

And Alex Pereira is a central pieces in that too. He has been teasing up a move to HW because he will do that. There's no reason he's posting recent weigh ins constantly, with the recent one showing himself lean and fit, with no visible fat, and now at 245 lbs lol if a move to HW isn't on the lines. The fact Jiri Prochazka is the back up fighter for his rematch vs Ankalaev (which never happened to have Jiri as a back up when he's set to face another opponent, even more in a main event with Alex and Ank) should be a clue that maybe Alex Pereira will fight at HW next. Tom was saying "I think he should rematch Ankalaev firstly, Ankalaev doesn't get enough respect" instead of cashing in the biggest name and biggest PPV $ he could off Alex Pereira... I think Alex Pereira will fight Tom, I think he has the skills to beat Tom when fit and in very good shape at 245 lbs as he is, and then call out JJ for a final fight.

Or he fights Ankalaev and there's a big chance he wins and vacates the belt... Which is bad. He proved himself to be very close to Ankalaev while not in his best shape, injured. Let's say he's ~Ankalaev, but a fitting HW and his next move is Tom and then JJ. Or some HW firstly like Sergei, while JJ fights Tom. I think they both win (Alex and JJ) and fight each other. Alex's main goal is to beat JJ still. He has a code, of avenging his master, Glover, like he did with Hill and Jiri. Dunno why, but he has some huge will to fight JJ and he'd do whatever it takes. Recently he was asked by a UFC journalist "which fight will you choose, JJ or Dricus?" and he said "well, it's either one of them to me. For me either Jon Jones or DDP is plenty. But I still say Jon Jones, it has more of a meaning to me". DC said Alex Pereira plans to beat Tom to call out JJ. He said though that the UFC still will likely make JJ vs Tom and if JJ wins, Alex will face Tom firstly and then JJ... Most likely tho is that both will face Tom. My guess is that, let's say DDP and Izzy... Izzy fought and beat Whittaker. Then DDP beat Whittaker too and they fought each other. I think that may be likely, JJ beats Tom, Alex moves up and beats Tom and they face each other.

Ofc I'm assuming both can beat Tom — that's my opinion, that is, I think both would have a 4-1 ID vs Tom, kind of fight. That's based on how I see their styles, running simulations using coding and setting all the information to pick up on the most likely outcome (which I enjoy doing as I love programming in specific languages and it's a fun and sharp exercise to set it up with all relevant data I can gather from reviewing the fights, getting each of their recent stats, their opponents stats, calculating with tech tools a rough cardio tax for each fighter). And then I see the most likely outcome, try putting it in words and study them by playing both fights together (for example a fight from Alex and one from Tom) and imagining home likely it'd be by studying their positioning, showcase skills... If I think something might be off, I run the code again adding certain conditionals, until I try to squeeze it the most I can for a pattern that shows as more consistent.

It's crazy obsessive work tho lol but yeah I will need to stop being so locked in as my college classes resume tomorrow.

No Luffy, there are a ton of posts where you claim Jones and Aspinall DID fight in secret. Period. Not that they "would". That they DID.

Lol I dunno it it's true. I haven't forced myself to read a Luffy post longer than 5 words in awhile.

But thats fucking funny

Oh it's 100% true. He wrote novels months ago about the specifics of what happened. ("Jones won a hard fought 3-2 decision"--he broke down every round as well and said we would see, the footage would come out. It happened in Chicago).

This wasn't a post or two. He posted about it for weeks.
