italy was cool, although i mainly did the drunken squid thing. was in naples, taranto and sicily. some good food tho. little street pizzas were good especially drunk. oh, we did spend the night in a castle in taranto when our ship ladder broke and stranded us on shore.
crete was beautiful and cheap. gyros were fucking awesome. this was the last stop after the war coming back to the states. a lot of drinking and whatnot

hey, do you guys like vacations? I am on one now. where and what do you like to do for a summer vacation?
let them know what you are doing
I am heading up to Saratoga NY this weekend. Some friends and I are renting out a house for the weekend. Going to BBQ and swim in a lake and go to the track. They also have a casino up there. Its going to be a pretty chill vacation. Probably hit up a brewery or two as well
Ask them what they do for a summer break

Finger lakes are awesome. Was up there for my friends wedding. Tons of fun and absolutely beautiful. There's some great spots out East.. in the Summer at least. My gf is from upstate NY so we go out there once a year to visit her family. We're thinking about doing the AirBbB rental thing on the Finger Lakes next summer. There are some great spots up in the Catskills too. I just fucking hate the cold so we avoid going back around the holidays if possible.
lucky.. its nice up there. been the last two years but just as a day trip to the track. im driving from Mass,Cool trip man...I actually live in that area. You drive up from nyc?

Cottage country in Ontario. Trolling lines on a fishing boat. Chopping wood, playing cards, beers, books, camp fires and listening to the hip.
