What is it about Aspinall that Jones is afraid of?

LMAO. Aspinall is the least intimidating dude on the planet. He has Askren aura
Why do you think they banned him from the press conference and weigh-in?
Princess Jones asked for it. Aspinall makes him uncomfortable.

I remember the times when you took fights because someone challenged you, not based on whether it made sense for your legacy.

It makes him look bad to want one fighter but ask giant sums for the other ones. He sounds scared of losing,

When was that time?

Isn't Aspinall incredibly injury prone?
I don't know about that. He did suffer an injury during a fight.
Jones will just blast his leg away.
I'm sure he'll try.
Or take him down.
Again, I'm sure he'll try.
He's not an A-level athlete. This is so silly, just take the fight and dominate him
I will remind you. Jon Jones is the underdog in this fight. If you are so sure, I suggest getting rich.

Aspinall is bigger, younger, stronger, FASTER, has a 100% TDD in the UFC and is more accomplished than Jones in the HW division.

Jones is absolutely afraid of him. He can't even look at his eyes in the same room.
Jones doesn't have a clear plan against him. Against a guy like Pereira, Jones sees a clear path to victory. With Aspinall, he sees none.

So, beyond Aspinall's astounding physical attributes and incredible technical abilities and scary KO power, he just doesn't know how to approach this fight. And that terrifies Jon.

If the fight doesn't happen, Jon wants you to know that he has confessed his love for the Lord and savior Jesus Christ.

Jones is looking for the lowest risk, highest reward fights possible. Now this isn’t meant to disrespect to Pereira, but he has a big name and also has shown a weakness in his game in an area Jones excels in. He is dangerous but the path to victory is quite clear.

Aspinall on the other hand is not well established yet. He is big, fast, and powerful. He has unknowns to his game that may or may not benefit Jones, but the path to victory is not necessarily clear. That’s not a gamble Jon wants to take.

Not a fighters mind

Oh hes scared. He even says:you just want me to fight him to see me lose. He gives credibility to the other side.

I believe more in jon than jon does ... Lol

Come to think of it... The only big puncher Jon faced was a sluggish Rampage.

We never got to see Rumble vs Jones

Most fighters guarantee victory as a way to create buzz. Aspinall himself says he doesnt know if he can win.

That's saying a lot.

I think the UFC will throw enough money at Jones and he'll take the fight. They might give Aspiinall enough to throw the fight as well. Remember, it's sports entertainment.

Would love to read the rest of your post @NextGen but adverts be blocking half your post lol.

Then why didnt they do it for the the Ngannou fight? Which interests me a hell lot more

Fuck the striking. Jones can take him down( Aspinall isn't a wrestler) and elbow him. Just like he did stipe. Jiujitsu guardplay doesn't work in modern mma against an elite guy like Jones. Ngannou showed ut against ferreira

Aspinall is heavy handed but who cares, so is Pereira and nobody thinks he can beat Jones.
Fighting doesn't work like that. People want to break down every component in its own little box and then try to compare skill for skill but it's the entire package that matters. Jon is a highly skilled, highly intelligent fighter but he is also getting old. He has lost speed, he has lost creativity, he has lost desire at times. Tom may never have the IQ or the creativity or the diversity of prime Jon Jones but he has the things that matter in a real fight and that is ridiculous speed for his size, heavy hands with amazing accuracy, and maybe most importantly, he believes fully that he can beat Jon Jones. He has a trifecta of Jon's kryptonite which has already been exploited by Reyes and Gus. Jon knows this and that's why he won't fight him. (Also why he wouldn't fight Frank, but Aspinall is more of a problem than even Ngannou)

He's bigger, faster, probably stronger, younger, with way better hands and no weakness to grappling like Gane was for jon to exploit. Basically all the advantages jon had over opponents on his rise. And he saw how effective having those advantages could be and dosent want be on the receiving end.
