International What is everyones thoughts on a war with Venezuela?

Man they grabbed their fucking president in the middle of the night without a single casualty and killing like 32 Cubans in the process.

Your whole "Venezuela is going to be harder than Iraq" couldn't be more fucking wrong.

Your point was indeed about the logistical problems of military actions in Venezuela i told you it was going to be easy you claimed it wouldn't

I don't even know what the fuck you were arguing you couldn't be more wrong about it
Didn't read and ignored

In Iraq, we had armed opposition on the ground with the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan. Venezuela, however, lacks any armed democratic opposition.

Blowing shit up is easy, but piecemealing things back together is hard.

Venezuela doesn't have an army, but the regime maintains hold through a kleptocratic police force. Capturing the dictator is the easy part but rewiring the country back into a Constitutional Democracy is where things get hazy. Outside of the Caracas, Venezuela is saddled with several paramilitary groups ("colectivos", probably 100,000+), perennially capsizing any local opposition. You would need to build a larger and less corrupt police force to remediate the situation which would require a US occupation. The terrain and size of the country would make that a blood bath.

No, you can blame the system for that too, if the hospitals had more staff, and were better equipped to receive a normal volume of patients, they would be able to tend to both. The tens of billions of dollars they’ve given to Ukraine would go a long way in improving those conditions.

How would limiting the shipment of retrograde weaponry, already paid for in the 80-90s, improve labor shortages in the health sector?

“Socialism failing as it always does, this time in Venezuela. You talk about giving everybody something for free and all of sudden there’s no food to eat.” - Vin Scully
I don't think you understand what socialism is....Every country in the world practices some form of socialism, the US government entirely subsidizes police force, K-12 education, and free-ways. Are you one of those ACAB wokesters?

You were besmirched~

No I wasn't lmao.

Weirdo completely ignored an essay I wrote to him and he keeps responding to my other posts and to other posters. I'm not going to put any effort into a conversation if he's not going to have the courtesy to read and respond to my thoughtful posts.

But it's cute to see you cheering from the side lines YET AGAIN since you're such a fucking moron.

Fuck US debt!

“After long and difficult negotiations with Senators, Congressmen, Secretaries, and other Political Representatives, I have determined that, for the Good of our Country, especially in these very troubled and dangerous times, our Military Budget for the year 2027 should not be $1 Trillion Dollars, but rather $1.5 Trillion Dollars,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post on Wednesday.

The MIC thanks MAGA for their service....long live the warhawks and corporate class.

It hasn't even been a week and you're spiking the football, lmao.

My point wasn't about loss of US military personnel, but the long term cost associated with taking responsibility for the country. If you actually read my post you would know that.

Until you read and respond to my original reply to you I am not going to respond to any of your posts on this topic, because I went over a lot of this.

Bro, didn’t you suggest a regime change was a good idea to do in Iran like last summer?

Jamming your dick into a beehive like Iran is way more catastrophic than a regime change in Venezuela.

Nobody in the region likes Maduro, his terrible economic planning and repression coerced like 25% of the population to flee. The Mullahs of Iran are not nearly as hated regionally as Maduro is on a domestic or global scale.

Not to mention, Iran is extremely heterogenous and theocratic. Afghanistan has a more recent history of secular leadership than Iran does to put things into perspective.

But lord, I don’t know why either you or Rod would think Trump launching offensive wars is worth the risk of him shattering domestic institutions.
