If that's what you want, fair enough. But adding work requirements filters out hundreds of thousands of people who qualify but are otherwise deterred.

That's how welfare legislation works, you can't just filter out fraud or those don't qualify, it comes with taking out a lot of people who would actually benefit from the program.

Even if the clean CR is approved and the government is opened up, there is no way that Congress is going to pass a new budget by the end of 7 weeks.

If you can't read a couple pages from the CBO, you're not intellectually equipped to draw any conclusions on SNAP.

Reading is your friend. If you had done so, you'd have noticed it will cause a large population of homeless people to no longer have access to SNAP.
