Zelenskyy will come back and sign the mineral deal. This will then start the peace deal with Putin. Having the US and EU in Ukraine will be a major deterrent for Putin. Biden had no contact with Putin for 3 1/2 years. Having a good relationship with Putin isn’t a bad thing ya know. Also China hates this mineral deal, that also is a good thing too. Russia aligning with China was never a good thing and Joe let than happen. Is that enough explanation for you or should I keep going?

What happened to Trump being this grand deal maker? Brought a Zelenskyy into the White House, and brought cameras in, and the whole thing came crashing down. What a masterstroke of diplomacy!

Really awesome stuff from our president. A great look for the world to see. I'm sure Putin approved.

Initially I thought this as well, and although I don’t care for Trump, and I think the event devolved into a shit show; I also have to admit after watching the entire thing that Trump was initially pretty cordial and in fact praising Zelenskyy until Zelenskyy went after Vance for whatever reason. That’s where things kind of took a turn.

I think what would’ve been best would have been for Trump to excuse the media and have that conversation behind closed doors, but obviously he’s emotional to a fault. The whole “do you own a suit?” comment was pretty classless as well, but if Zelenskyy wasn’t prepared to sign the deal he should’ve made it known. It almost seemed like he was using the event to look like a tough guy on the world stage and is now apparently wanting to come back to Washington to work on the deal.

Trump and Vance shouldn’t have acted that way, but Zalenskyy is no “hero” either.

Edit: and yes it would’ve helped had Vance just shut up and let Trump handle the entire thing.

Responding with this just clearly demonstrates you understand the logic of my argument and don't like it.

Disincentivizing migrants to seek out border patrol is going to bring down encounter figures. It doesn't mean migrants have stopped trying to cross the border and it doesn't mean they've successfully stopped them from getting across.

It just means we don't know at all either way.

He didn't address this in the interview but was eager to get back on the deal and def indicated he wants peace. He may think he is far away based on who Putin is and what he wants... but to me it doesn't mean he doesn't want it.
