Still got Sean, Izzy, Rob, Cannonier even though most are past their best still very good and dangerous. Costa just had one of his best performances ever against Kopylov who I think only lost to Fluffy in UFC.

MW hasn't been this good in a long time. Maybe since Strikeforce merge era.
Solid post. Thanks for laying it out like that. MW is exciting again. Just bleed bless. We have an absolute murderers row at MW. What a time to be alive.

I do think Fluffy loses to DDP and possibly gets subbed early by Khamzat, but if he's able to survive early, I think he could gas those guys out. He's eventually going to run into someone who's too well rounded or a better athlete, but he deserves the opportunity to try. Incredibly impressive.
He might actually beat both those guys. This guy is at his peak.

It's possible. I'm not saying it isn't. I just don't think he'll do it. If he can survive Khamzat early, imagine what he would do after Chimaev gassed.

Din has a penchant for hyperbole. It’s part of why ESPN loves him. He has good technical insight, but he also knows how to jump the shark to trigger the casuals and purists alike.

He’s like a Steven A Smith for UFC.

SAS is a huge fucking can. I get your point though. Good call.

This was one of Fluffy’s toughest matchups on paper as Dolidze is a much larger guy with more power and a vaunted grappling pedigree, but he just dog walked him. Before the fight, I saw Fluffy as a hardworking overachiever. Now I think he’s a future champ.
Top 5’er for sure. Likely a contender. And I’d love for him to be champ. Been a fan of his evil style for a few years now. Not sure he’ll be champ. But I’d go nuts if he pulls it off.

Visually as well. Looking at both of them in the cage was blowing my mind and then watching the guy dictate when the bigger guy was allowed to get up and the fucking elbows.. I wonder how much Hernandez even cuts?

Who can actually handle that pace and pressure and at least nullify the grappling and hold themselves well enough in the striking? Dude actually seems like everyone's kryptonite, especially with his chin, output and grinding style. Dude is a MW Cain Velasquez
Everyone ahead in the rankings is a better striker than him except RDR. I was impressed that he wasn't fazed when Roman connected a good elbow and a couple of shots but he got put out by Kevin Holland years ago in less than one minute. It was a body shot but still he isn't super durable on the feet...

I think the guys fighting for the title beat him bad and Imavov, Borralho and Strickland I at least slighly favour them and then Whittaker/RDR I think close to 50/50.
They're gassing out because this dude is ragdolling their asses. It's not like we haven't seen Dolidze in tough fights before, even five rounders. They're not doing this to themselves, Hernandez is doing it TO them.
That is not true at all man. Go rewatch the Pereira fight and you see Pereira gassing in less than 4 minutes because he was beating Fluffy so bad. There was barely any wreslting at that point and even if it were to be a wrestling heavy round he should never have gassed inside one that is fucking ridiculous.
Dolidze is 37 too. Maybe he should be gassing inside 10 because he is 37 but a top MW shouldn't.
