Not really. The US set all sorts of restrictions to the immigrants we get since the late 1880s. Northern and Western European immigrants are fine, ignorant savages from Somalia and Iraq are not. Go read up on the history of American immigration policy.

America is pretty good at picking and choosing wealthy, stable, educated Muslims and even though it is not that common, it is far too often for a "normal" Muslim to do something stupid. Why was WWII our problem? Why is world hunger our problem? Developed countries and people of means in general have an obligation to the human race. If innocent people are subject to incredibly dangerous or oppressive conditions, and we can accommodate them without great loss, we should. You're acting like every citizen of a multi-billion-person region is trying to uphold the conditions of that region.

It doesn't affect you right now, but a reasonable human being should worry about it. Hey, an ethnic group is getting shoved into gas chamber and ovens....so what? Not our problem.

Of course we can't possibly accommodate them. We only take in a feel-good token amount. And next year more will be born than we had let in this year.

And are the ones doing the "accommodating" actually the ones making the decision? Real slick system we have where elitists in the beltway can make themselves feel good by dumping a bunch of burdens on montana or wherever. Not to mention the actual crime victims.

I am happy for large numbers of immigrants to come to my country, just not the muslim variety. Why do we bring people in who genuinely believe females are inferior and stupid? Makes no sense.
Western women have fought and struggled over the last 100yrs or so to get to where they are now. So then the governments bring in thousands of men who think not only muslim women, but western women have little value. And many of the muslim women believe this too.
It's watering down society in a way, weakening it.

I'm not sure if this is a mix of sarcasm. Do you think it's rare for people in 3rd world countries to want to move to western countries? And don't you think it's odd that refugees have a handful of countries in mind, often on the other side of the world and always with generous welfare programs?

Yeah, they have to (not really) learn out language but they stop being piss poor and now they have access to welfare and all sorts of government programs.

We can hardly provide for our own people and we spend more on bombs than helping our own people. So yeah I fail to see how throwing money at foreigners who are 'oppressed' will help any of our current AMERICAN citizens in L.A., Houston, Miami, NYC, Detroit, St Louis, San Jose etc etc who are currently oppressed and or unable to properly get by/feed themselves.
