isnt the total running time like akin to a 2 hour movie?

Probably closer to an hour or an hour and a half. At least for The Most Dangerous Game. I also watched a comedy called Dummy starring Anna Kendrick that was maybe 45 mins total. I just started another comedy last night called Flipped staring Will Forte and Kaitlin Olson.

I honestly didn't think I'd like the shorter episodes format but its actually pretty convenient. (I also prefer to watch them on my t.v. I don't think I'd enjoy it as much on my phone)

How you gonna watch all of Stargirl but bail on Warrior Nun? (I watched both. Neither are particularly good, but Warrior Nun was definitely better.)

I saw you mention Barkskins in here so I gave it a go and really liked it. I hope there will be a second season.

My only down on barkskins was the final episode being a mess, they reduced it from ten episodes to eight and it showed, finale was really rushed

You're wrong about Perry Mason

Two opening episodes were slowburners but a cpl of the middle episodes were very good. Matthew Rhys is the real deal. Rylance was ok too. Season ending was average but still had a nice teaser leaving the door open for season two.

Giri/Haji 6.8/10

Breakout performance from Will Sharpe. Rest of the English cast members were wank but the Japanese carried it well enough.

London/Tokyo sibling crime drama. Good cop vs bad Yakusa gangster. Its a commitment to watch(heavily subtitled) but i enjoyed it.

Better than The Bodyguard but not as good as Borderliner.

How was the Kendrick show? I think she’s good but that concept seemed like a tough sell of a comedy to me.

Two episodes into Tehran and think this is going to be a solid binge. If you enjoyed Fauda or like shows like Homeland should be a good watch



It also stars Shaun Toub who did a season in Homeland

its on Apple TV from September 25th but on the high seas already, theres one good set of subs on opensubtitles

We're so spoilt for choice nowadays there's no point trying to talk folk into watching stuff you like. Be honest and let them guage your thoughts, i say.

Just finished binging this over the course of two evenings. I get easily distracted so to have something hold my attention for a for episode stint is pretty good

Really good. Preferred it to Fauda (which I loved and is by the same people)

Reminded me a lot of early 24 before that went to shit. Had a very similar vibe but with the roles reversed

And a good finale that wrapped up the story but left loads of 'what happened next' moments for season two

i'm a big fan of Toub, dude has presence. I loved him in Homeland, and he plays a "janitor" in the Snowpiercer series. It's kind of campy/decent, but he owns the screen every time the camera is on him

He always reminds me of David Strathairn for some reason, always oozing charisma

Watched a five-part documentary series, Atlanta's Missing and Murdered. Made by HBO. Used a free trial week via amazon. Between 1979-81 over 30 kids were found murdered in that city. Someone was convicted of two murders & maintains his innocence. What about the other victims? Objective and well made. Highly recommended if you like that sort whodunit type of crime documentary.

Like everyone else I was searching for something new to watch, my girlfriend wanted to watch Power. I've watched some series with unsatisfying conclusions but mannnnn the whole last half of the final season was a head scratcher.

They are going to throw in the answer to the big story point in a random scene and then retell the same events through 5 episodes leading to the most obvious final conclusion. The main character of the show got like 5 minutes of time while the other got a random perspective episode and then had nothing to do with the end of the story. As a casual viewer it was a painful stretch to the finish line, I can only imagine how hard core fans felt when it was done.

He's good in this, he's your typical flawed, half good, half bad guy.

8 episodes is a pretty short run, and it's only over the last two that we really start to see his character coming through and start to learn about him (despite being the male lead) but there's certainly a ton of room in the future to develop him.
