Not sure if anyone here who watched it but the alienist season 2 starts today

Tried to watch Rick n Morty a few years ago but lost interest.
Is it really that good ?
I watched most of the first season, it's aiite. I will say I enjoyed it more than some of the edgelord adult animated comedies like south park or family guy

I just started it myself, and this is the funniest thing I've seen since the LAW AND ORDER episode of COMMUNITY, which I also started after-it-aired:

Start at :17, since the first little bit is KINDA spoilery.

Watching CURSED. Finished episode one. Pretty standard but entertaining so far.

Ya I watched the first one as well. Seems okay but very much like the witcher in that it wont reach great heights like LOTR and GOT. Pandemic got me with nothing to do though so I'll check it out.

A Brave New World came out today, halfway through episode 2. Not gonna spoiler the book its like 200 pages If you haven't read it go take a few shits.

I like the expansion of the universe bringing in America a bit more. I can say the lead was cast because her face (not her body) resembles Demi Moore who is also in this series as an alcoholic hoe.

If your straining for content like me, I say start the binge fellahs. Not sure what service this is on I have netflix atm other then that yarr im a pirate.

Edit: End of episode 2, pleasant surprise. The wedding is all Shakespeare. They seem to be throwing bones to the book readers. Might watch episode 3 later tonight.
Have you continued with it? I haven't popped its cherry yet.

Yea it falls off pretty hard tbh, the first few episodes were good I just think they tried to stretch it out a bit much. Could have probably put all of season 1 in 6 episodes and it would of been a better experience.

Towards the end I wasn't really rooting for anyone.

Ok, thanks. I've been going through loads so I'll leave it on my list...towards the end I guess.

So I just heard Donald Gover will be starring as Lando in a new star wars TV show.... idk, I thought he was decent at best as Lando in Solo.

It's a good combination as both Glover and Disney are super high profile, and plus a television show allows exploration of character and tone, especially with Favreau's volume technology, or whatever it's called. Alden Ehrenreich floundered in the improvisational directing space prior to Ron Howard's involvement, but I think Glover is much stronger at creating on the spot.

This was one of my favorite assigned reading books in high school. I'm looking forward to watching it. I didn't really care for the movie that was made years ago.

I need a new TV show. Perry Mason really isn't doing it.

need something to really grab me, like Mr. Robot, & Mr. Inbetween.

any suggestions?

Did you watch Into the Badlands when it was running on AMC? Netflix has the whole series now. Yeah it's intentionally over the top at times, but I was highly entertained and the Widow is one of my favorite all time TV characters now.

Rewatching Battlestar Galactica and this show is just pure fucking gold. Not a single bad episode, it gets you hooked all the way to the end. Just great writing and acting.

Agreed. In terms of space sort of shows it's only really that, Caprica and Firefly that hooked me in. They were all pretty adult, I find a lot of spacey type shows to be a bit campy.

Did you watch Caprica?

I haven't.

Do you think it's the same quality as BSG? I have this thing with spinoffs. I really liked Breaking Bad but didn't bother watching Better Call Saul, for example.

Really liked Firefly too.

Definitely not as good but I still enjoyed it. BCS is a must! It's a lot slower paced and doesn't have the OMG factor of BB but it's really good. Plus you get to see a load of characters who ended up dying in BB again being it's a prequel. I was a BB addict, and I really like it. Get onboard before the final season...whenever that gets filmed.
