Television TV Show Thread

*likes* I still have a soft spot for most of the characters, Coulson especially. Don't know really, I get a bit done in with universe type stuff.
Love Coulson. I watched him do a q&a once, and he kept repeating "not a bad career for 7 lines" finally the host asked what that meant and he responded that the original 7 lines he had in iron man was the supposed to be the extent of his marvel career. Turns out a few weeks after filming they extended him one more movie. Then 2 more. And then his own show. Not a bad life for 7 lines.

Ahahaha, he was brilliant. I love that show, Terry Cruz and The Rock, holy shit ball crushing hilarity.

How about the Dubsmash War between Agents of SHIELD and Agent Carter. Those were good times.
Overall, I would give the win to Agent Carter for the Dubsmash War with their use of Chloe Bennett's own song and the appearances of Chris Evans.

My favorite episodes of Lip Sync Battle were the Tatums (especially Jenna doing reverse Magic Mike) and Tom Holland & Zendaya. The performances are so much better when the performers know how to dance is what I've observed.

It all started with Jimmy Fallon and Krasinsky IIRC. Anna Kendrick's was hilarious where she popped her blouse off and there was a picture of Krasinski's wife on her tshirt. I've watched it far too many times, haha. It's good fun humour.

The whole point of it is to have some fun with it a'la The Rock doing Taylor Swift. Him singing it in his car in Ballers had me in fits.

THE BATMAN TV Series Spinoff from Matt Reeves, Terence Winter Set at HBO Max

HBO Max and Matt Reeves, the filmmaker behind the new Batman movie, have teamed up to develop a police drama series set in the crime-infested streets of the Caped Crusader’s hometown Gotham City.

Terence Winter, who created the Prohibition crime drama Boardwalk Empire and cut his teeth on The Sopranos, will write and executive produce the series, which is coming with a series commitment from HBO Max. Batman producer Dylan Clark and Warner Bros. Television are also involved.

The series does not yet have a title, although some have been calling it Gotham Central, harkening back to the police procedural comic from writers Ed Brubaker and Greg Rucka, and GCPD. Either way, it would deal with police detectives working in the shadow of one very batlike vigilante.

Here’s the cool wrinkle: The show will operate in the same story universe as Reeves’ movie, The Batman, which stars Robert Pattinson as Batman. It also has Jeffrey Wright in the role of detective or police commissioner James Gordon.

HBO Max says the series will be "set in the world Reeves is creating for The Batman feature film and will build upon the motion picture’s examination of the anatomy of corruption in Gotham City, ultimately launching a new Batman universe across multiple platforms. The series provides an unprecedented opportunity to extend the world established in the movie and further explore the myriad of compelling and complex characters of Gotham."

It is unclear whether Wright and Pattinson would appear in the show. No castings have been made at this early stage, sources say.

Almost finished F is for Family, the first few episodes are a slow build but it's become one of my favorite shows of all time.
"If anything happens to your sister call me, and then I'll come home and put you through that fucking wall" then kisses the daughter "I love you princess"
<Lmaoo>
My son looked at me as and said "omg that's you"

New shows ive watched this week

Home Game (Netflix). Decent enough little 30 time passer looking at wacky sports around the world. First episode on Italian brutal mma/rugby game was decent enough. I binged it in a day, but it was nothing special. I kinda would have preferred each episode to be a bit longer

I'll be gone in the Dark (HBO). One for the true crime junkies. A look into the investigation into the East Area Rapist/Golden State Killer. Sticking with this one each week, enjoying it

You a fan? I think it's brilliant, it was given a bit more to run with when it moved to Netflix. Perfect casting all round as well.
Not a huge fan but I watched all the seasons. It's entertaining enough for me to keep around. Favorite is Tom Ellis' charming characterization of the titular character.

@Cool Hand Luke We were watching old seasons of MacGyver (1985) and there was this one episode where I noticed that one of the guest stars is none other than your favorite child actor - Danny Cooksey!
<DCWhoa>

Husband surprised me with a "What is it you desire" shirt which was funny. I'm not all Buffy about it but it's a really good midweek evening show that got made better after not being on a general network.
Tom Ellis is absolutely brilliant, he used to be a bit part doctor in one of my east end London soap operas.
