And so does the establishment. You're at that point now. Either way, one has to fall for the other to be popular. You're at a point where trust in the government is so low, that the people elect...some dude who says what they're all thinking.
"Populist" is a dumb designation anyways. Every politician on Earth is a populist to a certain degree. They literally have to court votes by saying what people want to hear. The language may be different, but the goal is the same. Seems to me that it's only a negative term, when the establishment loses control.
It’s always the fault of the establishment when populism rises, that I’m sure we agree with. That said, it doesn’t end well.
