Ok, if you don’t understand the difference between saying “Trump is literally Hitler,” and “Trump, like Hitler, does X, Y, & Z,” then I can’t help you, son. And even the one Tweet you dug up is obvious exaggeration, which I know people like you don’t understand is used for effect.
So thanks for making my point for me. Yes, Trump shares a lot of Hitler’s worst tendencies, like blaming people’s economic situation on immigrants or some marginalized group, saying that immigrants are “poisoning the blood of the nation,” and other typical authoritarian rhetoric.
That is why people compare him to Hitler. Which is valid. Unlike when conservatives endlessly compared Obama to Hitler because “Hitler also wanted to nationalize healthcare.”

But nobody really called him Hitler (except JD Vance). However, the comparisons to Hitler’s rhetoric were made often and they should be. He is basically stealing all his best lines.
And the distinction is an important one because that is a classic straw man. “My opponent says this, but it isn’t true. Therefore, nothing else they say is true.” It’s just a dumb fucking post that deserved to be called out.
