No, couldn't be that......... it's not like he accused Obama of doing exactly that. And is now obviously doing it.

Rick Santorum was a real big mouth about this during his failed presidential run if I’m not mistaken. And I’m pretty sure I’m not mistaken when I say that.

Rick Perry said the same shit as well and so did Romney.

@Jack V Savage can you corroborate

    Nah, bro.

Trump's just telling it like it is.

Like when he said the unemployment rate under Obama was over 40%.

Actually here’s some vomit Santorum sprayed out of his vile lying mouth

“It looks like under Obama, the Fed was all for propping up this big socialist gambit that Obama was pushing. And now that we have a strong market-based president, it seems like the Fed is doing everything they can to constrain growth.”

Mind you Santorum said that after 7 years of a strong economy, whitewashing Obamas tenure as the president and his strong economy after the Bush years.

    Santorum also said

“I know it’s frustrating to him to see the Fed prop up the Obama economy for eight years at zero interest rates as Obama’s tax and regulatory policies strangled the American economy,” Santorum said on CNN. “And as soon as Trump comes in and un-strangles the economy, well the Fed comes in and tries to tighten it.”

The real gem is “obamas tax and regulatory policies strangled the American economy”

That’s after 7 years of straight growth after the disaster that was W Bush.

    Republicans are slime.

That doesn't sound like someone who opposes low interest rates.
Too late to cover your blunder, unfortunately. Should have read it all before posting.

    ROFL, please. You self-owned.

First, Santorum's comments that you just quoted are from December 2018, bud. Second, he isn't complaining about low interest rates as if they're a bad policy. He's complaining that the Fed kept them low for Obama, to his benefit, but not for Trump.

Would it kill you guys to post from acquired knowledge rather than Googline furiously for examples that don't substantiate your claims? It's pathetic how little you know.

If I didn't poke you this stuff wouldn't come out. I think it's hilarious.

Everyone seems to overlook the nature of changing strategies depending on the economy. We aren't in a recession, anymore. I think it's hilarious to mock you guys for trying to forward outrage over hypocrisy when that doesn't exist for this issue. If you don't agree with Republicans said in 2015, or earlier, fine, but it's stupid to misrepresent their position on the Fed.

But still, all the names I listed complained under the Obama years.

You asked and I told you

Rick Perry, now Trump’s Energy Secretary, certainly agreed. Ben Bernanke’s policies of zero interest rates and quantitative easing, Perry said, was a “travesty that young people in America are seeing their dollars devalued.” He added, “if you are allowing the Federal Reserve to be used for political purposes, that it would be almost treasonous.”

This was during the great “treasonous” years, when republicans and the tea party called everything treasonous

Been talking about rate cuts and the such. Most the developed world is 0 or neg. This is weird and it may be just time before the US gets sucked into the madness. Wonder who will monetize debt first?

Are you saying all this with a straight face as a Trump supporter. Trump who is a billionaire trust fund baby with the richest cabinet in the history of the US. He must be a special kind of billionaire who isn't greedy and does care about you though, right?
