Economy Trump believes inflation is down, consumers are saving money, and economy is in perfect condition

You really like talking about things you don't know much about huh.

The Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, a group that's hawkish on the deficit, said in a Sept. 18 press release that Democrats’ proposal in its entirety would add $1.5 trillion to the national debt over the next decade.
"The (continuing resolution) itself — the part that funds the government — would not add $1.5 trillion to the debt, but the bill that Democrats have proposed includes other provisions that would,

The Senate previously failed to end debate on that CR, as well as the alternative CR put forward by Democrats that would cost $1.5 trillion.

Congress Should Not Add $1.5 Trillion to Debt in CR

its common knowledge for anyone who doesnt live in a democratic echo chamber.

You think that's just his opinion or something? Are you serious?
Hey dummies, which side is it that doesn’t want to negotiate?

Lmao at you for quoting about increasing national debt though. You still pretending Trump is trying to tamp down on that?

The 1.5 trillion figure is straight nonsense. The amount for extending ACA subsidies is around 350 billion over the next decade. And that’s easily able to be funded btw, if the GOP actually cared about such things.

The 1.5 trillion figure would be if we also repealed all healthcare-related spending cuts from the BBB, which I would support, but is not what Dems are asking for.

Meanwhile, the BBB is going to add anywhere from 3.4 trillion to 5.5 trillion in the next ten years, almost entirely so that we can give massive tax breaks and subsidies to the ultra wealthy—while we pay out the ass in tariffs, millions lose healthcare coverage or pay increased rates, and the poor lose SNAP and other benefits.

Miss me with this pearl clutching bullshit. Once again, the Right lies through their teeth about costs, and once again you DGAF about adding trillions to the debt for the sake of the rich but clutch your pearls over a much less expenditure for people’s healthcare.

Why do you think 1.5 trillion is non- sense ?

If the dems were honest and said we need that amount for healthcare for people, because our former bills and plans didn't do a adequate job , keeping ACA afloat that would be respectful.

You asked for the numbers dummy then change the topic, typical lol.

You can say that as much as you want but no one believes that, not even you

What are you talking about? Where did I ask for numbers? I sure as shit am not waiting my time getting into the weeds on anything with your brain rot.
I'm sorry you didn't ask for them directly, you got asked to be proven wrong. Which was easy, as usual.

How's the Luigi shooter fan club events going ?

What makes argentina a very good ally?

What do they do for us and provide for us?

Honest question.. I have nothing against their country, just wondering why they got so much attention other than him being friends with their president.

It’s going good. How’s simping for those people that are going to cause the early avoidable death of someone you know going? They still drinking enough pineapple juice?

I’m talking about reopening the government. Yes, the Dems have a list of stuff we’d like to have (pretty much all of which is good for the American people), but Dems have been pretty clear that they aren’t requiring all of them to reopen the government. The minimum they’d accept is:

  1. A provision that the POTUS must spend the funds allocated by Congress (very sad that we’d even need such a thing, but here we are)—cost $0
  2. Extend the ACA subsidies—cost 350 billion over the next decade
And it’s not because previous bills didn’t do an adequate job, these subsidies have been in effect for years. They expire 12/31, but open enrollment in the ACA Marketplace begins in about a week, on 11/1. People are already getting notices that their premiums are going to substantially increase, unless the government takes action.
—I mean, don’t get me wrong, I think we could do a lot better with our healthcare than the ACA overall, but Dems aren’t asking for a whole healthcare overhaul to reopen the government.

It honestly perplexes me, and kind of saddens me, that this is a divisive issue. Why are we ok with the middle class paying extra money in tarrifs and higher healthcare costs, and the poor paying that plus losing SNAP, and free school lunches, so that billionaires can give themselves massive tax cuts they don’t need and add trillions to the debt?

there are different schools of economic thought: The Keynesian, the Ricardian, the Marxian.

With Trump, its the Panglossian.

$3.4T to $5.5T....that's what makes it so disgusting......they have no problem with that but $350B to help people afford healthcare? What a disgusting group of people. The politicians doing it and the people supporting it. Disgusting, the lot of them.

"Media reports allege that the bailout could benefit wealthy investors and hedge fund managers, including Robert Citrone, who have significant holdings in Argentine bonds and equities. Citrone has a long-standing personal and professional relationship with Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, and his fund was a major investor in Argentina before the bailout."

No, it's not. "Dr. Pangloss, a character in Voltaire's 1759 novel Candide, who maintained a foolishly optimistic view that "all is for the best in the best of all possible worlds," despite constant misfortune."

Trump has never faced any real misfortune. He has fallen up time and time again. He knows HE will be fine, and he gives no fucks about anyone else.

Lol so our country is bailing out another country due to a handful of wealthy investors trying to recoup money?

As if we needed any further proof that we live in a plutocracy where the rest of us dirty poors are literally just pawns on the monopoly board, trying to earn Mr. Money Bags more profit.

So glad we voted a billionaire in to the office again - he surely cares about the rest of us.

It’s incredible, isn’t it? Trump just fleeces us right in front our face and his supporters cheer for it.

Don’t forget the other 13 billionaires he brought into his administration. Just unreal.

not to be too pedantic here dude but:

I didn't say 'Trump is Panglossian'

I said he has a Panglossian view of the economy

"maintaining a foolishly optimistic view that "all is for the best in the best of all possible worlds," despite constant misfortune." sounds exactly like how he views the economy. Unless Biden is in charge. lol.
