Training without the right music? Here you Go...

My favorite Lamb of God song off the new album. As far as harsh voices go(I generaly prefer clean screamers like Halford, Owens, Scheeper, Dickenson over growlers or yellers) this guy has one of the best. And these guys combine complex, HEAVY, technical music with melody and groove.

Ok, I know you have been waiting for K-Dub's Motivational Music List. bear in mind that I am sort of the graybeard around here ( turned 44 this weekend) and so I have older tastes. Plus, I read through all of the posts and I dont recogizne about 85% of the songs or artists that were listed--may have to invest a few hours to look a few of them up and listen to them on You-Tube.

Ok, here is the list

SPRACH ZARATHUSTRA-excellent for an 8-10 rep squat set
Thunderstruck-AC/DC
At the Barricade from Les Miserables
One Day More from Les Miserables
Bat out of Hell-Meatloaf
Because we believe Andrea Bocelli
Anything from Keith Green
anything from Hank Williams, Jr or Johnny Cash

Thunderstruck is my fav AC/DC song Keith. And believe it or not, this ****lhead owns an Andrea Bocelli Cd. I can't believe you got me to admit that HERE. For those of you that don't know, Bocelli is a blind Itallian opera singer.

Nirvana -- "Milk It." A lotta people dismiss these guys as punk posers or pop-****llers or whatever. When Kurt wanted to, he could really let it fly. This tune has one of the most savage riffs ever, in my opinion. God, I would love to cover this song.

Red Hot Chili Peppers -- Incredible as it sounds, this band was once a force to be reckoned with. This is maybe the hardest-hitting song they ever recorded, "Nobody Weird Like Me," from the album Mother's Milk. The bass break toward the end is not to be missed.

Donut I finally got a couple of their Cd's recently. Morello does some incredible stuff with a guitar. He makes sounds nobody else does.

The Battle of Los Angeles is one of the few albums I consider to be perfect start to finish. I think it was fitting they stopped with their own stuff at that point, because it couldn't have gotten much better. Renegades was really interesting, and kind of a nice send off.

I heard they might be getting back together. Since Cornell left Audioslave to do his own thing.

Dark Funeral - what a great band. I'll have to try the Cannibal C.

Anything that comes close to Dark Funeral?

Have you heard of Misericordiam?

Just checked out their myspace page. They've got pretty good shit. Definitely can hear an Origin influence. Pretty impressive that a 17 year old kid sounds that brutal.

New catchy-as-fuck Arsis single:

nothing pumps me up more than a bit of classic death metal or power metal . . .
