out of all the current champs Pantoja and Dricus are the only once not to have had a finish in their title fight.

Max had 10 finishes in his 13 fight win streak with 4 in a row by tko over Pettis, Aldo x2 and Ortega. Topuria couldn't finish Emmett. For all we know Volk's chin is gone now like Moraes, Edgar etc.. He was ko'd against Islam prior to fighting Topuria. Max has won 2 in a row by KO, one was up a weight class against a guy everybody said was a terrible matchup for him. Max isn't known for KO power but hurt Gaethje bad several times and gave Gaethje (the harder hitter) a chance with 10 seconds left.

Not only that but Max also wanted to fight Khabib. Meanwhile Topuria is demanding to fight for the BMF belt or he will fight Ortega who has 2 wins in the past 6 years, is 1-2 in his past 3 and got totally schooled by Volk and Max.

Easier to get the blood and guts happening when you're in there for the full 5 rounds like Max is most of the time.

Bit harder when 5/7 of your UFC opponents can't even survive until the 3rd round.

Topuria hasn't even had 8 ufc fights yet. Max had already had 19 fights before those decisions. Let's see what Topuria is doing 12 fights from now. Many fighters went from finishing guys left and right to getting a string of decisions. Max had 10 finishes on his 13 fight win streak. Won the interim and undisputed belt both by tko and defended 2x by tko.

Went up a weight class and ko'd the guy everybody said would destroy him. Meanwhile Topuria is talking about fighting Ortega, a guy that has 2 wins in the past 6 years.
