PFL Top Talent Exodus occurring in PFL

There have been many orgs folding but this has to be the dumbest purchase of a fight org ever.

Why would you sign Ngannou without public mainstream appeal nor hardcore fanbase for a lot of money under the pretense of Ngannou as if he's doing it for the fellow fighters than doing jackshit but for himself, then letting go

Kayla
Pitbull
Mousasi
Bader
Amosov
Goiti
Pitbull's bro
Horiguchi(if he can be included since he fought for the title)
Pico - He won't ever fight for them again tho it might take a while.
Sabatello - this guy sucks ass but he's really good obviously top 20 in the world skillwise
Douglas Lima
MVP

I mean I don't get it.

This is so dumb it doesn't even feel real.
It’s because they didnt give a shit about the talent. They wanted to be able to say they were 1b to UFC’s 1a and they couldn’t do that with Bellator as the #2 org.

Well to be fair,

Francis was kind of once a decade plus opportunity for an org like PFL. The number 1 HW, UFC champ, and he is available. The UFC rarely ever lets that happen. 99% of time they come to terms. Have they got there money out him. I guess it depends on how you look at it. It is big reason why Saudi's invested into PFL. That is why Francis probably only going to fight over there. I won't doubt it if they are covering his purse or most of it. Then you add in just all the free run they got because of they have Francis. There is no doubt that looking at it just from a purse stand point that it is a losing proposition all day long for an org like the PFL, but there is more to it than just that.

Kayla long wanted out, she ran her course with them. She was gone regardless of anything PFL could do. MVP ran his course. Pitbull same thing.

Good portion of the other guys are what everyone is making fun of for GFL signing.

Should've kept Pico, but Pico is kind of the poster child of what is happen. There is a massive disconnect between PFL brass and its fighters. That I can't understand why they don't fix that. So many of these B level orgs can't see more than a few months out at any giving time and everyone else is left hanging. That mindset is what you see playing out over the last year or so. PFL needs a major reorganization of their business behind the scenes and get shit under control. Lay out a year game plan so you can actually talk to your fighters about future bouts. But up to this point they really have dropped the ball on this merger.

well i can see why but it was such an unwise decision especially if they are going to let pretty much everyone walk. it just makes no sense at all and they clearly overated at an extreme level the popularity of Ngannou. I mean yes i guess he had that champ thing going, but he never was a mainstream guy nor a hardcore favourite, but i don't disagree with you, it's clear that they were trying to make their play but they had to keep up with their approach, not let the organization disintegrate like this.

you never know though. maybe if they payed kayla or whoever what they wanted, they could have stayed. we'd never know. i mean they might say one thing, but it's not always necessarily true. if they were willing to pay what they wanted, who knows

i'm not talking about gfl calibre guys, and some guys like mousasi is obviously way better than those guys too. they let a lot of good, great fighters walk for no reason and spending so much money on ngannou probably were hurtful for their willingness to match purses.

i think pfl fcuked up too much at this point for there to be any chance to making up for letting all these fighters go. Pico is as good as gone at this point and who do they really have left that are good fighters withou at least moderate sherdog following? pretty much nobody. I guess there's usman and paul hughes and i dont know if mckee is still there, but who they gonna fight, they just let pretty much everyone half decent go it feels like.

i just feel like overall, it was such an ill-executed strategy and i don't know if there's any thing they can do to undo the damage they've always done.

Pico is leaving.
Patchy Mix wants to leave.
Vadim Nemkov wants to leave.
Corey Anderson and Johnny Eblen can’t get fights and have hinted at wanting to leave.

Granted the PFL have Shamil Musaev who quite possibly could be the best WW in the world but I’ve even seen stuff on here saying he also wants to leave.

Just an awful, awful look for an organization that claims to be right up there with the UFC.

And the PFL betting guy will say that there are two sides to every story, blah blah. Literally never seen a company where so many fighters want out or are complaining. You will get the odd fighter once every couple of years, for example at ONE, but this is like universally everyone hates being at PFL

It s simple-the economy is bad.

they dont have money.

Unrelated to thread topic but...
I'll never understand why anyone thinks Marlo is anything but a punk bitch

Also fucking lol at 'the economy'

They don't have money because they suck

Yet Donn Davis has offered $50 million to Jones to face Francis Ngannou. No money????
Only a fool wouldnt see that is just promo.
It s easy to offer money in situations where you know it isnt gonna happen.
Ifurther more they just snnounced foghter pay is going down.

Promo or Not the Offer was made. Look really bad if he did accept and they did not have the money, so he must have a plan to raise the money if needed. So stop being an ass.

It really wasnt or we dont have knowledge of it.
We know he gave a press release for it-means nothing.

the offer was made knowing that it wouldn't and couldn't be accepted. Even if Jones wanted to, his UFC contract forbids it. UFC has never co-promoted, and they're certainly not about to start now. And they absolutely would not "loan" one of their biggest stars to their only competition.

Jon could take it, but in returned sued by UFC for more than that. The offer was made knowing Jones could not take it but also by making the offer they are claiming to Have that kind of money. Which is my point.
