I think he retired on the quiet.

He seems to be constantly in rehab for his knee so I feel like he's never coming back. Plus he was some really fancy accountant who he has a good job and doesn't need to fight to make money

I really don't get why PFL bought out Bellator's roster just to let some of their biggest names go. I can understand getting rid of all the regional-level bums and overpriced aging fighters but they have hardly anyone left, and the ones they still have can't get a fight booked. I guess they gave some of these guys an ultimatum: fight no-names in our shitty tournament for a pay-cut or get cut.

Leary fight was also a bit of a wake-up call I think. Arguably fumbling that puts a very low ceiling for your aspirations as an MMA fighter, it's good he retired before taking a lot of damage.

You have to remember no money was ever really exchanged. They basically gave Viacom small percentage of some sort of corporate stock. Like Mark Cuban says 10% of a watermelon is better than 100% of grape. Viacom hopes PFL becomes a watermelon. Then cash out.

I think they didn't due there full due diligence on every contract. Once they got into some of those contracts they were shocked. Coker has a history of doing some odd ball things with MMA contracts.

It also quite apparent that PFL did not have enough business people to handle taking on all the Bellator fighters and maybe not a complete plan on how to utilize this influx of fighters.

There have been many orgs folding but this has to be the dumbest purchase of a fight org ever.

Why would you sign Ngannou without public mainstream appeal nor hardcore fanbase for a lot of money under the pretense of Ngannou as if he's doing it for the fellow fighters than doing jackshit but for himself, then letting go
