PFL Top Talent Exodus occurring in PFL

I'm sure that'll go smoothly...

Man I really hope we get to see Mix in the UFC. One of the rare real homegrown Bellator talents that can easily compete with the top of his weight class in the UFC.
Whether it does or not says nothing about Ngannou's character, and I would say that PFL's expansions have went pretty well so far.

WTF was the point of PFL buying Bellator if they were going to do NOTHING with 90% of the assets???
For clout. Davis and co. probably had hoped that the purchase would help secure media rights deals for overseas expansion (i.e. PFL Africa) more easily. However, it's ultimately ended up blowing up in their face.

Tons of their top talent is looking to leave or complaining. Pitbull, Mix, Nemkov, now even PFL OGs like Magomedkerimov

Pitbull and Magomedkerimov are no longer top talent, they're now guys out of their primes. Kerimov had some miles left on him but that's definitely one you can let go. Pitbull is pretty shot and has caught some recent Ls.

I don't follow it super closely but to me they've been picking up a lot of really talented guys like Habirora, Khavalov, McGrillen Evans, Hughes, Baki, Shamil, Manoel Sousa etc. I'm down with letting washed up dudes that were earning big paychecks go and I hope they keep sniping top talent.

UFC should be able to get many top talents cheaply the older Bellator guys still have a few good fights left in them.
UFC said only interest so far is in Aaron Pico, who still has matching rights with PFL on him to deal with.

Patricio “Pitbull” Freire, Yaroslav Amosov "Dynamo" WW (27-1), and Lorenz Larkin "The Monsoon" WW (27-8-2) are available.

Others may be next PFL really has no Bantam Weight so Patrick "Patchy" Mix -29 (USA) 20-1, Raufeon Stots -33 19-1, Magomed Magomedov -30 19-3, Sergio Pettis "The Phenom" - 28 23-5, Danny Sabatello 31-5 may be next.

Also looking at Norbert Novenyi, Vadim Nemkov HW (17-2-1), Johnny Eblen "Pressure" 16-0,
Magomed Magomedkerimov (34-6), even old Gegard Mousasi, still have some fight in them.

Aren't Mousasi and Larkin in GFL? Doubt Gegard would be of interest to the UFC because he, much like Lima, is pretty washed and caught an ugly loss to Edwards. Rarely do they pick up guys coming off losses like that.

I do not count GFL, as do not think it will last long.

I think the money they gave Francis against what he drew is really gonna speed up their demise.
This and Jake Paul.

Francis signed on May 23, 2023, almost 2 years ago and fought once, netting a measly 10k PPV buys on a $2m salary.

Jake Paul signed on January 5th 2023 and has zero fights in over two years. If and when he does finally fight, his contract will take 50% of the PPV.

Even worse it was $2m for Ferreira and $8m minimum for Francis so PFL got absolutely hosed on those 10k buys.

It probably doesn't help.

But at the same time, what do fans think an org like PFL suppose to pay one of, if not the top HW in the world? He isn't making peanuts in the UFC. If no one was going to pay him at least what the UFC was offering or close he would've ran back to the UFC.

It sounds like from the outside the Saudi's are helping PFL with costs and one of them is Francis payday when he fights, he will be fighting in Saudi everytime he fights. Hopefully they are covering a lot of those expenses on Francis. Can we argue that money could've been better spent, sure. But the quality UFC fighters don't seem to come available to often. They almost all stay. Even with the PFL dangling a 2M carrot to HW's they haven't been able to get one single UFC HW to leave the UFC. Many thought Lewis would be the one to leave and he never even got to speak with the PFL and he resigned with the UFC. Fans bitch about UFC pay but they are paying enough to keep the PFL's of the world from poaching fighters. PFL proved their willing to spend and UFC fighters don't seem to be getting to free agency. Most are resigning during the exclusive time or even before the fight contract is up. In other words, business as usual for the UFC.

Austin Vanderford 12-2 signs with UFC.

He had 2 losses at the end of his Bellator stint, Mousasi & Aaron Jeffery. He came back with one win in LFA then got signed to a short notice fight in Seattle vs Veretenikov.

That's the guy who is married to Paige VanZant.

It's clear that the UFC made him an offer and they don't want to show it to the PFL and let them match 50+50 or something low like that
His manager should work something out

Patricio “Pitbull” Freire is IN UFC !!!!
UFC 314(Miami) - Yair Rodríguez

“Pitbull” is headed to the UFC. Patricio Freire has signed with the promotion and will debut vs. Yair Rodriguez at UFC 314 on April 12. The event takes place at Kaseya Center in Miami. Freire (36-7 MMA, 0-0 UFC) is considered by many to be the greatest fighter in Bellator history.

I think what he is trying to avoid is odd ball things dragging this out forever. Money is money and that is easy to match or not to match. He doesn't want to be stuck in a each side's interpatient of what is matching or not matching. PFL could match the initial money and guarantee a title match as his first fight on the new contract. Is that a better deal than the UFC offer?? Then you have the intangibles of just being UFC fighter and what doors that may open for you. As Champ in the UFC he could get PPV points is another thing.

I think that is really what Pico and his management is trying to avoid.
