PFL Top Talent Exodus occurring in PFL

Could Pico sign with the UFC a 1 fight contract with no matching rights? I mean, PFL would match his his deal but wouldnt be able to match him again

Pico is saying no matter what I do not want to fight for pfl. Pfl is saying whatever ufc offers we will match and your stuck with us. This will go on for a year till the matching clause ends. He says he would rather wait till the clause ends in a year than fight for pfl. He also made the point that as the contract stated he would get certain amout of fights per year and as pfl never met that quota the contract is not good anyway.

So he cannot say what ufc offered. As they will match and he stuck in pfl.

So must be quiet for a year or get pfl to release him early. Donn says 'no way' and being the villain.

A one fight deal can be beat easily or matched easily.

I want to see Pitbull & Michael Chandler invite Scott Coker to watch them at UFC 304. Maybe also have MVP sit with him. This will send a clear message Scott approves of their move to UFC.

Matt Brown slams PFL for refusing to give Aaron Pico his full release: ‘Let the f*cking kid go’

“F*ck that,” Brown said about PFL refusing to let Pico go during the latest episode of The Fighter vs. the Writer. “He’s grown above the PFL and they should recognize that and know that and be cool [about it]. If they want to get more new stars coming up and sign those guys, they have to let him go. It’s going to be in the news, and the next guy’s going to be like ‘I’m not signing with PFL.’

“I don’t know what the PFL is doing. Maybe they just want to hold him until they go bankrupt. You’re going to have him anyway. I don’t know what they’re doing. PFL, nothing really sounds with what’s coming out of that organization the past year or so. Not too exciting.”

Pitbull and Magomedkerimov are no longer top talent, they're now guys out of their primes. Kerimov had some miles left on him but that's definitely one you can let go. Pitbull is pretty shot and has caught some recent Ls.

I don't follow it super closely but to me they've been picking up a lot of really talented guys like Habirora, Khavalov, McGrillen Evans, Hughes, Baki, Shamil, Manoel Sousa etc. I'm down with letting washed up dudes that were earning big paychecks go and I hope they keep sniping top talent.
They are lower top tier. But still top tier fighters.

Hopefully UFC will sign Yaroslav Amosov after a win over Curtis Millender on March 14.

Former Bellator welterweight champion Yaroslav Amosov has the same date and opponent for his return to the cage – but it’ll take place in a different city under a more recognizable promotional banner.

Amosov (27-1) will now fight UFC alumni Curtis Millender (21-10) in a 183-pound catchweight bout March 14 at CFFC 140 at 2300 Arena in Philadelphia. The event streams on UFC Fight Pass.

The matchup was originally slated to be promoted by Fightality, a debuting fight company, at Compass Arena in Chicago. It’s unclear if the event has been canceled, though it does not appear on the venue’s website.

Amosov, 31, was touted by many as one of the best welterweights in the world during his title reign as Bellator champion from 2021 to 2023 – which occurred as he fought in war for Ukraine against Russia.

The upcoming fight will be his first since November 2023 when he lost the title to Jason Jackson in a surprising TKO upset.

Shortly after the merger of PFL and Bellator, Amosov informed MMA Junkie he was a free agent and planned on working his way to the UFC.

“We have a plan,” Amosov told MMA Junkie in October during his first interview after his Bellator departure. “We want to sign a contract for just one fight (somewhere). After one fight, we want to go to the UFC.”

with the fight airing on fight pass and being for CFFC good chance he'll get signed with a win.

I suspect pfl Saudi Arabia deal will sour soon. Pfl cannot offer what ufc/tko can... A future. Best to jump ship and if you have a decent name/record then the earlier the better.

PFL still not keeping their fighters informed on their plans ... if any.

I wonder if they tried to get Eblen to participate in their shitty tournament (that now pays half of what it used to) and he told them to fuck off. I thought they would at least match him up with Aaron Jeffrey but he's in the tournament.

Anyone know what happened to Soren Bak? Hasn’t fought since 2022 and not a word about him since the purchase.
