Sean Strickland vs Rich Franklin

At least with his example they both fought an aging Wand.

Mike beat Anderson an entire decade after the first Rich vs Anderson fight. Also he looked like he got hit by a car while Anderson looks like he just did a Karate sparring session at the local YMCA

Agreed. Fight wise is probably looks like the Strickland vs Imavov fight. Imavov landed nice legs kicks and the occasional power shot but Strickland grinded it out with solid jabs and clinch work.
Anderson won that fight, but we all know about the home cooking. Silva, 3, 4, 5. And had BIspong KOd with that knee. Silva also had several other highlight reel strikes on bispong in that fight too. But again, we all know about that home cooking by the corrupt judges. But but but we should be proud of BIspong bc he defended the belt against a 46 year old Hendo who wasn't even in the top 10 at the time of the belt grab.

Jesus I hate post-mortem fantasy matchmaking. Why not ask who would win in a fight between Jack Dempsey and Lennox Lewis while you're at it? Maybe who wins a fantasy war between the Borg and the Imperial Empire.

There is no point other than if you have mono or are really bored to sit around and waste brainpower trying to wrap your head around who would win an imaginary fight between two guys who never fought, never will, and never were going to.

I'd favor strickland slightly. It's hard to outbox Sean, and rich likes to throw offensive hands. Sean's boxing defense is very very good.

theres really no point in talking about any of this stuff on a message board. it's for fun.

Rich would win. It has nothing to do that he is from here. Or the fact that I've spoke to him and he was really as nice as you might expect. Or the fact he's one of my all time faves. I'm completely unbiased.

I'd favor Strickland pretty strongly, but not necessarily in a landslide win. I think Franklin might go the distance and put up a better fight than Fluffy did.

If Rich trained with today's environment, he would wipe the floor with Sean

Love Andy but he couldn't do shit until Bisping dropped his mouthpiece and Anday saw it and still blasted him.
Poor sportsmanship by the Spider.
Yes I know protect yourself at all times. But Andy saw it was his chance since for thr whole fight he couldn't do much. Then tried the walkoff KO.
Andy is one of my absolute favorites and I was rooting for him always, but Bisping deserved that win based on grit alone. Andy preferred to dance around and cheapshot him. I think I was a bit pissed when the fight happened that he lost but as time has passed I'm glad he lost that night.
Bisping was hurt and figured spitting out his piece could get buy him a break. Silva didn't fall for it.

Rich has stopping power and I think MW was much better back then. Would be a fun fight, can Rich get a finish before the jab eats him up and he gets out pointed?

I’m picking Rich with bias.

Yeah basically how I see it. I just say slightly because rich did have the power to hurt people. If it goes the distance I dont think rich has a good chance to win

If Rich was in his prime now with all the same modern training advantages that Sean has, my money would still be on Rich. Rich was solid everywhere and had real flatline KO power.

You think 2005-2008 UFC MW was "much" better than now? I don't see how...
