Easy win for Tom so that is why he would take it. He needs to sack up and fight Gane. That would be a huge for 300 and help to build his legacy and could force the UFC’s hand a bit when it comes to a fight with Jon Jones
Sack up and fight Gane? That French part time professional Fifa player has been ducking Aspinall for years and we all know why.

If that fight ever materializes he should be allowed to bring a foldable white flag in his shorts’ pocket, you’ll see him honour his culture within the first round.

You think that means I think he deserves a titleshot? "Just let him smesh bro"

I see you're doubling down on being a pathological liar. To the list you go, you shitposting loser.
Nah it sounds like hey maybe he should beat a top 5 -10 fighter first and earn it. Oh wait it doesn't. Coming from a loser who spends all his time on here I'm truly hurt.

Alex will not do this. Nor should he if he is smart and wants to max out his potential during the latter part of his career (which I think he will do). He is a long way from being ready for a big HW that has the skills.
If he gets to keep his 205 belt & also gets a big pay raise it would actually make sense. Although Aspinall could likely KO him worse than Izzy did.

It wouldn't make sense if i were him. There is no reason as a professional to take fights you are not ready for, are more likely than not to lose, and are going to take a lot of damage in. I don't think those short notice fights did anything for the careers and well-being of Volk and Usman.

He already said he would have to work up to fighting HW and be ready, so my sense is he would stick to that rather than trying a Hail Mary fight.

well I mean, why not? two big names, it will sell.

Tom is likely to win. He keeps his belt. Poatan keeps his LHW belt and fights Hill afterwards.

If Poatan KOs him tho, the fights to make after that would generate a shitload of cash. So again, why not? I cant see a bigger fight for 300

You are delusional.

Jones is not a good striker. He flails punches and has a decent jab but uses his fingers a lot. His combos look like a amateur. Put Jones in HW boxing and he would get beat by low level boxers. His bread and butter is his wrestling which he is very good at. His striking not so much.

Pereiera-Aspinall is maybe just too much for Pereira right now. Pereira-Gane could be really solid though! Probably not the right time. Pereira could make a permanent move up one day but 300 seems far too soon.

Right, particularly against a big bruiser with skill like Tom. People seem to forget he just brutalized a monster striker.

Pereira vs Aspinall/Izzy would be a good headliner. If they dug some fighters like Brock/Ronda/Khabib/GSP out of retirement on top it would be insane.

It's not big enough to headline UFC 300 but honestly, what is? UFC has nothing. It's probably the only thing interesting they could put on.

Pereira is a better striker and grappler than Gane
