Knocking someone out where they lose consciousness and fall and injure something else isn’t anything like someone throwing a kick and resetting and having their leg buckle when they arent hit with anything of even the slightest consequence.

Would be shit if he fights Gane for the interim, wins it, Jones vacates and then he fights Almeida for the real belt, what a let down that would be.

Jon's belt is pointless. Tom's belt is the real thing. So as long as Tom is fighting with a belt on the line, it's for the real belt.

Yes, it is. In the fantasy world. In the real world, Jones has got the actual belt, and Tom has got the interim title, which is the lesser of the two.

Now, this doesn't mean that I don't think Jones should be making a deal to fight Tom asap. Or should retire. He should. I wouldn't complain about Jones being stripped either.

But facts don't change just cuz you would like things to be different. You can make up shit, it doesn't make reality go away.
