It's only been a year or so since this AI thing blew up
This is ALL AI. It added sound by just typing in a single prompt
I'm not sure about aeronautics being advanced by AI. I can see improved efficiency in jet engine design but not the actual design of common purpose aircraft. Definitely way out of my lane here though, could be wrong. I think general purpose boat hulls and planes have been taken to near the max by man. I'd like to see advancement in battery design and ice engines. Basically I see the biggest room for improvement in propulsion.
I was thinking about materials, and alloys, but I didn't think of synthetics. I was thinking along the lines of the Concord. We had faster commercial airliners, but they were inefficient I believe. I think the place to start would be micro like you say, but in turbines, fuel combustion, and delivery. Hell maybe in fuel itself.AI is already being used for the material science and weight reduction structural strategies in such areas. AI is being utilised in all the areas you mention as a tool to improve humans ability. Theres always room for improvement but the margins get smaller, but then are consequentially more important in competition. In F1 AI is implemented in every performance aspect to reduce time and effort, to increase performance.
Take architecture, you'd think humans would have a good handle on optimising our spaces over thousands of years but AI provides another angle and can do most of the work.
You’d better worry about them sooner. They’re about to take a bunch of jobs.I’m not worrying about AI or Robots until they hit Robocop, Terminator type levels.
