In kickboxing there is ZERO chance of being taken down ...this dramatically affects what techniques and even what stance you use in a fight...

Furthermore gloves play a huge factor in striking contests and thats why in sports like Boxing ...glove selection is almost an art form for boxers they all have a certain glove weight and even brand they prefer ...down to the padded type... Small gloves make a big difference with kickboxers especially those who ear muff to block that doesn't work when your opponents hand can slip in-between your guard...


Again two different sports...and this has already been proven with fighters from the era u speak about...
