I'm going to go back to squatting in some variation errday. I'm not going to run anything in particular, just mix up the volume and intensities ensuring that I make some sort of progress through rep PRs and the odd training max day.
Having done something like that in the past, I would advise against it. I saw less strength gains, increased fatigue, more nagging aches, etc, than when I ran less volume or frequency, or followed some plan.
Nope.
I'm not one for maxing out. I don't mind seeing what can be done on a particular day but testing my max on the reg is not the way I get stronger. I tend to respond better at lower percentages (<=85%) of a training max with higher volume. 531 has been a great change for me. I'm just going to up the volume a bit since I had felt great up until my move.
