People don't appreciate what we have on television.

They focus on what isn't working and ignore moments like this.

That's a sad way to live, in my opinion.

Coincidentally I saw this clip a few days ago. It just popped in my YouTube feed. This scene was very well done.

I watched the first episodes of the show and stopped around episode 2 or 3. I checked out the series finale and didn't like it except for the emotional epilogue.

Since you and @PRIDEWASBETTER recommending it hard, I will give it another chance and start from the beginning. I was thinking that this is like Agents of Shield where people dismissed it because of the TV show campy quality but missed out on a great series if they watched the first 4 seasons.

They'd do something really good every few episodes and once a season they MIGHT do something great. Considering the raw tonnage of contrived teen drama, it just wasn't worth it.

Superman and Lois was a lot better but never felt good enough to recommend.

I like this version of Superman, but the story is meh. I didn't like how they portrayed Lex, and found his general plan a bit ridiculous/underwhelming for a guy who can create pocket dimensions, create and control metahumans and all the rest.
But I'm open to another entry, the themes/tone/etc all work for me, hopefully the next villain is better, or even if Lex comes back, having been humbled and exposed changes him

i'm on my fourth day of trying to finish this movie. i feel like i'm being pranked, it's so bad.
Superman being hysterical in a discussion with Lois. completly looking like a douche that throws a tantrum and slams the door on his way out.
EVERYTHING having that cartoony cgi look and feel. every line of dialogue sounding like they're written either by CHatgpt or by a highschool movie project team. that absolute embarrassment of "where's my dog" scene.

this is one of the dumbest movies i have ever seen.

I watched it for the 3rd time and it grew on me even more. I do think they went way too hard in the "animated series style scifi" thats not really explained and we just accept it. If this is a new DC world we need to build to that a little bit without it feeling so jarring for the average viewer. It didnt bother me too much but my GF was a little confused and put off by it.

I dont think Im going to like James Gunns take on Batman at all and I really hope he leaves that character up to someone else. Or maybe dont bring him into this world at all. I dont think he really fits into it.

I think a Batman would fit in well with this universe because Mister Terrific's role in the Superman film was basically Batman.

Mister Terrific was the brains of Justice Gang. He is portrayed as being too serious at times. He gave commands on how to take down the kaiju. He helped Lois track down Superman. He was a one-man army against LuthorCorps' goons. He understood the pocket universe and tried to stop it. He lets Lois borrow his airship. Now imagine all of these scenes done by Batman. It fits, right? More or less you get a live-action version of the Justice League animated series.

I suppose I could see that. I agree it fits into the Justice League version of Batman. I will say that I would prefer a season 1-2 version of the animated series batman then the justice league version. I like a more butthurt type of Batman. Hes supposed to be pissed off but doesnt use that against the people he cares out, just the bad guys.

Just FYi my son, who earlier said he loved it, just told me he went back and watched Superman Returns all on his own. He likes it too, but said it's not on the same tier as the new one. Also, he is a baseball kid through and through, that's all he really does so he knows jack squat about comics.

I was a pretty big fan of the show. Far from perfect, rocky in the beginning and in the final season, but Season 3 was really good, imo. The emotional epilogue had more punch when you see full picture.
