I suppose I could see that. I agree it fits into the Justice League version of Batman. I will say that I would prefer a season 1-2 version of the animated series batman then the justice league version. I like a more butthurt type of Batman. Hes supposed to be pissed off but doesnt use that against the people he cares out, just the bad guys.

I watched Superman animated series, JL and JLU. I loved them all, actually rewatched them again in my late 20s.
I feel the DC animated films/series are superior to movies counterparts.

I love most of the animated films here, before "DCAMU"

The entire DCAMU, is alright for me.
l, but I always liked Flash focused films.

The last 3 in 2024, Tommorowverse, seems to get alot of hate, but I still like it because it centers around Flash again. It's very confusing though if not you don't watch all three parts at one go though.

I think the three part Crisis on Infinite Earths got the hate because it didn't follow the comics closely. But since I didn't read any comics, I like it. But the storyline, being non-linear, is quite confusing.

The new Superman movie lacked tension. Setting scenes in fully evacuated cities or having normal people in the city acting like that a giant kaiju monster destroying the city is just a normal Tuesday for them, without a care the world as if they knew Superman has plot armor when it comes to saving people. This over correction from Man of Steel’s terraforming destruction was a significant fuck up.

Superman’s fighting skills were cool though. It shows his experience as a three year veteran.

Yeah, he was definitely Bizzaro. I kept waiting for him to say “me am Superman” but I guess that was a bridge too far.

How did Lex clone him again? I can’t remember, I also can’t remember the reason he couldn’t have more clones.

One thing that bugged me was saying Superman can only hold his breath for an hour. He can travel at the speed of light. TBH I don’t think he even really needs to breathe. I think he just does it for fun like with eating. And pooping?
Superman doesn’t poop.

I’ve had countless arguments on you tube about how it’s virtually impossible to fail at generating high revenue being a Superman movie and how theatre numbers in todays world doesn’t much it’s already did great and hasn’t even reached home apps for rent which I’m waiting for , it’s just not going to flop wheather you liked the movie or not , I got sucked into a long day debate weeks ago those same ppl are seething it’s going strong and these are grown ass adults . Lol

Yessir.

Lem just can't catch a break.

First movie I saw since Sonic 3. This was just okay…. I think I’ll rate it a 6. There’s way too much comedy for me. This movie has nothing on Man of Steel. I saw Man of Steel three times in IMAX when it first came out. One of the few comic book movies that took the threat of a world invasion seriously. Hans Zimmer also did a wonderful job with the score and so many memorable scenes like first flight. Didn’t feel that way about any scenes in this movie. Oh well don’t regret it but sure made me appreciate the last Superman movie more

where are all the financial hit pieces from all the online entertainment media rags that were tripping over themselves to wag their collective finger at the early box office success of Sinners?

anyhoo, now that the crowds have maybe thinned w/ the release of F4, i’ll prob go check this one out this week finally. looking forward to it

Crisis got a bad rap because the parts were released too far apart which added to the complexity.

Box office update:

Superman flew past the $500 million mark in the U.S box office in its third outing. It held in nicely despite losing Imax screens to Fantastic Four, grossing $24.9 million domestically and $19.8 million internationally to finish Sunday with a North American total of $289.5 million and $213.2 million.
