It's weird how some guys get reputations as great grapplers without grappling.

It's because nobody actually gives a crap about ank. The people clamoring for this fight were just haters latching onto the latest hope for someone to beat Alex and once he gets sent to the shadow realm his "fans" will forget he ever existed.

I am actually excited for this fight because I want to see Alex face a challenge that he hasn't already faced. If you are an Alex fan you should be excited. Ragging on "Ank" being boring shows a lack of confidence in you boy. If you are such and Alex fan you should be excited to see him fight anyone.

If Alex does send Ank to the Shadow Realm that will be one thing. I just hope Ank actually uses some wrestling to see how Alex can handle it. If it is some super quick KO I will be sad because I want to see Alex go thru some adversity. Last competent grappler Alex faced went to a SD with him in Jan. I feel like Alex's "Myth" can't become an actual Legend without facing a true test.

Nobody knew who Alex was when he was a kickboxer so why is everyone so excited to see him just fight kickboxers in MMA?

the co main is gaethje vs hooker and there are 10 fights on the card right now, there is usually 12-13 fights on a UFC ppv but there is only 27 days till the card so the card is likely finalized and just gonna be a shorter one than usual

I didn't even know they were on that card. That's how well the UFC is currently advertising it. I knew they were fighting and that's it.

This seems like one of the best fights the UFC can make and you have 2 huge fanbases colliding(Pereira fans and Muslim/Dagestani fans) yet I see little discussion around the fight. I know there's roughly a month till the fight but we saw a lot of buzz around islam-arman a month before it happened yet nothing for this fight even though I think this is a better fight

It should be the biggest fight of the year , it is with Peirera who is still white hot. But maybe this proves it takes 2 to Tango.

This fight is just about Alex, but -as a huge Poatan fan- it's probably his harder test*, and the one that answers big questions.

So I'm really excited.

*Narrative-wise. I think it's easy work for Poatan.
