I wouldn't mind the O'Malley rematch at all, a Yan rematch vs Merab doesn't sound as exciting, and I would personally love to see Umar fight Yan.

O'Malley is most likely getting his ass kicked on the ground whether it's Umar or Merab anyway, so might as well watch him fight Merab to see if he can land that one huge strike and preserve what I think so the most interesting matchup of Yan vs Umar.

O’Malley needs a warm up bout, improve on wrestling & grappling. Because if he goes straight to Merab or Umar right now he losses and will probably never capture gold again. Throwing him in title fight after a loss is short sighted. He needs time to improve and apply it, because I doubt he bridges the gap towards Merab or Umar.

The ideal would be for O'Malley to win a fight first (the Yan rematch makes sense). The problem is that would keep Merab sidelined for far too long since Sean is still recuperating from his surgery. It sucks that Sean's recovery time will actually play to his favour here, but it is better than not having a title fight at all, IMHO.
