Media Silence from the UFC + social media exchange revolving the MW title

He's 35 and made five massive weight cuts within 12 months.
I don't know man, when you think about it, he made five massive weight gains, to have had five massive weight cuts in between, and if you are gonna fight five times in 12 months, why gain massive weight back?

Ts this thread is pretty hot garbage. If any of it was true RDR wouldn't have been fighting in Vancouver he'd be getting ready to fight Khamzat.

because that's how weight cutting works. you think he can just live at 185lbs? he's only 185lbs for like a day my boy

MW is the worst division.

It's taken over for WW. WW while full of rank squaters is at least renewed with brady, gary, prates and morales.

i dont have the same excitement for fluffy, allen or Imavov.

MW is one of the more interesting divs, wtf are you talking about.

What silence.. Chimaev is gonna fight in jan or feb against imamov

I know right, it was down to Imavov, Fluffy and RDR and then that fight fell apart and RDR lost. ITs gonna be Imavov in probably first quarter next year they just havent announced it. UFC doesnt announce shit that far out anymore. Dont even have the first Paramount show and its in 3 months.

No, we don't "need" Strickland-Allen 2. But having Allen skip Fluffy to fight DDP would be complete nonsense. And having Fluffy fight down in the rankings against Caio (coming off a loss) would be complete nonsense. Fluffy's next fight should obviously be a #1 contender fight.

So fluffy, the guy that pulled out and ruined a main event, gets a bigger step up and reward than the guy who stepped in, beat the number 4 ranked contender, and saved the show?

I'm just playing devil's advocate by the way. I'm fine with Fluffy vs. DDP. I'm just not that interested in Allen vs. strickland two, and the amount of shit talking between Allen and DDP writes itself -- it would be a shame to not make that grudge match happen. Allen just took out number 4, so fighting the former champ isn't ludicrous. It doesn't really matter though as long as all of these guys stay active.

He should called it a day for this year and asking for a fight at the beginning of next year…

It's rumored that the UFC wanted Chimaev vs RDR for the MW title. The latter promised that taking a fight before would only prove how he's the biggest threat.

But now that it didn't turn out as planned, the UFC have stayed very quiet and Dana has not said one word about the card/fight. They're now forced to risk Imavov becoming champ.

As disappointed is Chimaev who called out RDR on X for not living up to his words. De Ridder replied by attacking Chimaev's problems with the immune system back when he overtrained.

Chimaev says that RDR can only blame himself though:

Thought this was interesting enough. Could it be they've had some kind of verbal agreement all along, and that RDR really had to shit the bed for Imavov to make it first in line?

That’s a fake RDR twitter account bro
