And then if the White House fight card is June 2026, and he's not on that card, then he might not fight until July 2026.

I know this is all early and speculative, but this could easily happen if May 2026 is too early [only 2 months after Ramadan ends].

Why on earth does any fighter need 3 month fight camp. That's ridiculous.

A fight camp should be 6 weeks. Or 8 weeks if they are out of shape.

From what I understand fighters almost universally call 8 weeks to prepare "short notice".

I don't know what the standard fight camp length is, but I see most fighters wanting 10-12 weeks to prepare as pretty reasonable/common.

Unless Australia change their stance on allowing Khamzat into their country, I don't see it happening.

This can easily be a "hate Khamzat" pile on, but really sick of UFC and title fight delays. Why are all champs shelved for half a year minimum? That is 6 months before and 6 months after. I hope UFC one day grows balls and puts a mandatory defense time and vacate the belt if they can't make it. I'd rather have a new system that rewards champs like Pereira or Merab over all the inactive fighters. No reason fights should be 6 months spaced, which is probably why fighters can cut more weight.
