Yeah, iirc he knocked him down with a right hand then locked that up posthaste. That was a looooonnnnnnggggg time ago though, so no shame in misremembering.

I can remember maybe three standing guillotine finishes in the past 15 years; just not that common these days.

yeah, that's not unexpected - rear naked choke followed by everything else. the sub you can get just based on your opponent being on queer street.

also, it's interesting how the frequency of some subs decreases over time - like with the armbar, it's harder and harder to do as guys cross train more and more over time, learn the defenses etc.

I’d like to see a trend of guillotine chokes over the years, specifically standing, you don’t see many of those anymore. Mir got Kongo I think years back but can’t really remember other ones since.
