Media Bo Nickal: Chimaev gives me confidence for a return - but I'm his biggest threat

People have said dumber things to draw a crowd, good on him forcing people to talk about him.

This is the same guy that thinks he can beat a chimpanzee...and a human beat the shit out of him.

Khamzat would own him in a wrestling aspect during a fight also
Its like people never saw Aljo&Merab vs Cejudo,Jones vs DC,Evans vs Davis etc

There's nothing so far that showed me Bo has some fearsome wrestling in fights like Khamzat does

For sure, but in this case he's actually delusional.

Keep in mind, he specifically asked the UFC to book him with RDR. That was a hand-picked opponent. He lost that fight everywhere it went and looked absolutely terrible in striking exchanges against a grappler with slow as molasses striking.

Bo's reactions to getting hit were quite bad. It'll likely be another bad loss before he settles into understanding where he fits in.

Cejudo came up from 125lbs and was both undersized and old. I don't know we can use that example.

Jones was a JuCo national champion (just like DC) and a standout cadet. He unequivocally was a Division I talent but had terrible grades and didn't qualify academically. He then gets his girlfriend pregnant after winning a national championship and leaves wrestling to earn a living in MMA. Had he made grades or completed JuCo, he would have been a Division I All American.

Rashad was a Division I wrestler that was one match shy of All American. He was a stud athlete and wrestler and in a really competitive division. Davis was twice an All American and a National Champion, but its not like we are even comparing two different levels of competition - you have "good" and "great" wrestlers meeting in MMA. All of the other skills and experience favored Rashad.

I do not think Khamzat would 'own' Bo in the wrestling aspect of an MMA fight. I think Khamzat would struggle immensely to take him down, and likely gas out doing it. What would happen is Khamzat initiates wrestling and then wrecks Bo in the transitions while he's defending, because Khamzat is the much better MMA fighter and Bo's striking and reactions look like shit.

When he was fighting jabroni's (most of his total experience) he was casually murdering these guys. He took RDR down just because he felt like it after easily shucking off RDR's offensive wrestling. Bo can wrestle. He's mid to terrible at everything else.

Khamzat and Bo will never fight because Bo isn't good enough to earn that type of booking, anyhow. We never see this fight.

? Bo has one loss?

Khamzat shot for 17 takedowns and kept DDP down and controlled 22'ish minutes of the fight.
He had trouble against short notice Usman with good wrestling and went the distance over 3 rounds.
Now, what happens when he fights someone with Nickal's pedigree who has just seen that he doesn't need to entertain us mouthbreathers and can instead focus on wrestling?
What does Khamzat look like defending against takedowns for 25 minutes?

Like I said, Styles make fights.

We know Chimaev has fantastic wrestling with decent striking that is usually reliant on the fear of the takedown, so why not see what happens when you stick him in there with another fighter with mediocre striking and stellar wrestling.

Bo won't even make it to Chimaev. What kind of fights have you been watching? Bo needs to develop his game, he is severly lacking to be haing with the top guys. You act like he only has 1 loss and that styles make fights and Bo has a chance.....without using your eyes and seeing what's rioght in front of you. Bo wilted under pressure and couldnt handle taking shots. It looked quite sad, especialy for a guy that talks himself up all the time, even dissing fans.
Khamzat is a skilled animal. Bo is less skilled and looked like Brock Lesnar when he took those hits......like he didnt want to be there. You think that guy has a chance agains Khamzat?

Like I said....he got killed by Reinier and we havent hear Bo talking about getting that win back.......Bo probably knows what's up

MW is deeeep

for the first time in a lng while I am having to agree with this statement. It was kinda weak when Izzy was on top and even when Alex came along. WHen vittori fought for the belt and old man Romero was still there......and also with the Costa hype I thought MW sucked. But now when I look at that list I see alot of new additions in the top that are actually better. Khamzat/DDP/RDR/Hernandez/Imavov they are all guys that are very difficult to beat. I never rated Vittori and Costa and found Strickland to be a 1 trick pony, but all in all MW looks better than it has looked in years.

heck....even a guy like mvp who is at the tail end of his carreer is a nice top 15 guy to be added in the mix for middle weight.

Would like to adress above match ups further but general point was that less credentiald (english ain't my first language but i think you understand what i mean) can get the better of more credentiald wrestler in a MMA fight winch isnt sth new of course, and thats Khamzat's game, aggressive wrestling and even though he obviously wasnt in the US to compete to have Bo's D1 results,he learned all he knows in russia winch he used to dominate Swedish scene and to this day he gets to train with the very best in the world winch is why i am confident he can outwrestle Bo in a fight.
I mentioned before just wrestling isnt gonna do the job vs Khamzat if thats what Bo thinks,Khamzat is way better grappler as well so even if Bo can get his takedowns then what?I feel only a matter of time before Khamzat sweeps him and submits him(or just gets it from his back possibly)

But i agree they wont fight at all,Bo is just too behind at this point to get a fight with him

I've got nothing against Bo, but I am unconvinced he has what it takes to perform at tthe highest levels of MMA. That being said, I hope he does well. Guy's been under a LOT of pressure for a newb.

Fatsulem would actually be a great test and fun fight. Big Kev is a solid wrestler, thick and hits like a truck. Not to mention he's a dog when it gets ugly.
Indeed!
