I just think that Team Khabib is underestimating the Champ and his experience in tough fights. Not one of them ever fought competition even close to Charles. And there is no training partner who could emulate Charles. They do not know what they will face. It is not like just hire a judoka, a mt fighter or a bjj guy etc.

This makes me pick Oliveira hands down.

goes both ways. i think alot of guys overestimated charles bjj and were too scared to get into his guard and just let him recover.

felder wasn't. he let charles take his back and didn't care. just kept up the pace. made charles work. eventually charles wilted when his guard was crushed.

there haven't been too many vacant titles decided by decision.

khabib vs iaquinta -- not sure how it was announced but everyone knew who won before the announcement. i'd have to rewatch.

most likely if oliveira wins they will announce as "and two time champion of the world"

Most people are picking one or the other to win, but many of the comments indicate that "toss-up" would have been a more honest selection. I don't know how anyone can wholeheartedly pick one guy over the other as both are so fucking good. Toss-up.

Perhaps he would win, but he is the less certain one given Charles has beaten all of those guys and Islam has never faced anyone that good.

I think Oliveira/Islam is going to be a war of attrition with a late stoppage. One of them is going to be too gassed and beaten to fight on and the victor, while also worn out, will persevere with the last of their energy to find a sub or GNP stoppage. I lean Oliveira winning but it's like 55/45.
