Rumored Shara Bullet to retire?

I know it's popular to hate on Shara right now but the guy is a fun fighter to watch and a character.

Hope he takes some time off, works on his boxing and comes back to kicking the shit out of midtier guys 40 times a round.

However, if his vision has deteriorated to the point that his depth perception is completely gone, that's a wrap.

Damn... that's crazy!

Maybe he was telling the truth.

He looked off in his fight against MVP - I was wondering wtf is wrong with him

Then he said he had a "nightmarish health condition" which everyone in here mocked and made fun of as an excuse.

A guy with one eye is at risk of more brain damage due to getting hit. Anyone with two brain cells to rub together knew this before his first fight, as I'm sure he already knew as well. Can't fault him for quitting if he does. He probably made decent money that'll go far where he lives.

"Significantly increased risk of brain damage as his vision deteriorates" = he's going to get hit in the head more if he can't see the strikes coming, or do they mean something else by that?

Sad if true, but his health is more important than competition.

There was a wind up account on Twitter ("parody") saying he'd retired.

That would not be a good source.

But who knows

They're talking about his eye though. Everyone has known about his eye problem for years. It's just even the doctors in the place where they still let him fight are saying he should not (if the post is in fact true)

That almost seems to obvious. If this is fake news, that’s probably what it means. But if this is true, it’s something else. They wouldn’t refuse to sanction his fights for something like that. Because you could make the same argument for someone like Nick Newell.

Well being that almost no AC will approve him, it kind of makes sense and he will never be a big star because of so.

Its straight up ghoulish UAE and the UFC have been allowing him to fight.

If Dana White could make a nickel having disabled orphans fight, he would.

Oversight and regulation is important.

Lets not turn this into a shitty fickle sport like Boxing where a guy is on top of the world in one fight and should retire and was never any good in the next fight.

Its what made Bisping finally retire when even his second eye started having issues and he was scared to death of going blind, guessing Shara is having the same problems.
It was always very risky to begin with, theres a reason most commisions wont clear him.

FUCK this! Somehow it isn't surprising but damn it, we lost a good prospect.

Did not see this coming... It's a bummer if he has to retire so soon - dude is a fun fighter to have around in the mid-tier.
