Sean can't win if they stand and bang. His only way to win is to lightly push DDP with his toes and to softly jab him

Demonstrably false. He stunned DDP at the end of the 1st round with a good right hand. Go rewatch the tape buddy.

There is absolutely no conceivable way you can argue DDP did more damage to Sean in that fight, anybody with half a brain sees it.

I would need to get paid to re-watch a Strickland fight.

I'll take your word for it he 'stunned' him, one time in 25 minutes.

Stand and spreadsheet. Let the judges figure it out. Great, we already knew that.

Stand and Jab*.

Wont happen but it would be nice if DDP puts him to sleep and sends him to the prelims.

I find these “agreements” utterly idiotic … why would one fighter accepting to diminish his skillset and potentially the chance of victory is somehow a proof of bravery? It’s MMA, it is exactly about being able to implement a wide variety of techniques to defeat your opponent. If someone is weak in one area the opponent should absolutely exploit it as much as possible, not accept some silly “agreement” to avoid using that skillset.

Also, it’s one thing if you’re winning, but if you are getting beat up but keep the “agreement” rather than use your full skillset you are an absolute fool.

Generic answer but... This is MMA.

Go box or kickbox if you don't want to wrestle at all.

Ridiculous move

Sean Strickland has never been a "Stand and Bang" kind of fighter, and he isn't fooling anyone.
Asking for no grappling is weak and feels a little bit cowardly. It is a really bad look.
Yep, and the only things worse would have been requests to only grapple each other, or to only clutch upon the fences with each other. These UFC fighters just come off so "needy" sometimes.
