When a fighter declares his weakness and what he's afraid of this openly, it's always a safe bet to go with his opponent.

Same as with Conor against Nate, and Dustin at LW. It's clear that DDP is way ahead in the mental game.

Strickland's way of letting everyone know that he'd rather participate in a different sport

There's no cool way to pitch that, in my book. You still look like Heath Herring after his loss to Jake O'Brien.

Takedowns were the difference last time (even if you feel otherwise, you'd have to assume that's what the judges thought), and trying to hide from that is a weak move.

Sean Strickland's definition of standing and banging

The interesting thing about Sean is always the pressure he brings. Nonstop pressure and constantly in your face. It's fun to watch though not flashy. But the fact that he stunned Izzy early in their fight which messed Izzy's rhythm the rest of it makes me not hate him. :)

The smartest guys always win rematches when fighters have close ages

DDP should publically accept and show video footage of his striking sparring. As soon as the fight starts turn it into a grappling contest.

If Strickland wants to box he should start going to boxing orgs to fight. Next we will have fighters wanting no subs, no kicks, etc.

It is MMA. Not boxing. People like Strickland, Poatan etc. need to understand that.

That's always so cringe to me. This is MMA. If you want to "stand and bang", go be a boxer. It just shows you lack all of the tools in MMA.

Smart move ?

Strickland is a guy with real talent. He has a very safe style and if his opponent gets caught playing his game, he is very successful in that style. Having said that, I'm really tired of boring fighters using over the top personalities or fighters using their personalities and social media followings to get easy matchups, favorable treatment from the UFC or to trick the fans that it's something else.

Colby says hello.

the funny thing is that people say that Strickland is great doing wrestling when training

people say that Khamzat is a cardio machine too

I'm curious to see both things in cage, maybe after Strickland win this and defend the belt against Khamzat next

Honestly, that's Hella soft to be asking. He didn't even grapple you much last time. I've enjoyed Sean's run through the title picture for the most part. But if he's going to be Like this, hope ddp humbles him.

The first fight was closer than it should have been, I think DDP uses a lot more wrestling this fight. I don't think he beats Sean in a standup war outside of a lucky punch. Most of the damage he inflected on Sean the first fight was post-headbutt.

I sure hope DDP silences this idiotic prick. There is hardly a worse personality in the UFC.

There are fighters in the sports world that act as idiotic as Sean, but I can't think of any that are as hypocritical.
