I was just trying to think of someone else who is a real legit grappler and Brady came to mind. He might have a hard time moving up in weight with the frame he has too.

Buckley is probably itching to fight again, unfortunately Usman is ahead of him now. I doubt Brady would want to fight downward towards Buck or Usman, but he may be itching for a fight himself?

Shavkat should probably know that he's likely not getting a shot after being out for so long so I wouldn't be too surprised if he's the one fighting Brady as Brady has been calling him out lately.

Honestly I think we should do Garry - Brady for the #1 contender and then Buckley - Shavkat for a fun one.

You see what's going on at MW with Fluffy vs RDR and Caio vs Nassourdine, I think WW needs that as well with Garry/Usman/Shavkhat and Brady since I feel all 4 are 1 win away from a title shot.

Usman would be good. Back to back wins like that over young guys would be fine with me for another title shot. Islam vs Usman would be cool to see, even if it is a little late. WW really needs to eliminate contenders right now.

Coming off a loss? Zero chance. It would be Usman over Buckley. Brady is on the doorstep of a title shot, he's not fighting a guy coming off a convincing loss. Most likely it's Garry, Shavkat or Usman the only other possibilities imo.

I feel like vs shavkat would be a true number 1 contenders fight. Hope they go that route.

Agree but Shavkat is like a bizarre mystery right now. Nobody seems to be able to nail down when exactly he'll be ready. Whereas Garry is an annoying dude but deserves credit for agreeing to pretty much anyone he's offered.

Shavkat attended the event in Abu Dhabi where he cornered Asu Almabayev. In an interview there, he said he wants to return in November or December and is ready for a number one contender fight. Who should he face? A fight with Brady would be excellent.
