Scouting Report: Dricus du Plessis

This scouting report is on point. Feel free to call it hate however, his win list is full of gatekeepers at best who have showed repeated folding when their fights got tough. That is more a testament to those fighters mindsets than it is showing DDP better than average skillset. He is tough and mentally strong but let's be real he isn't title material.

Agreed, dude got here basically on pure grit and determination. I think that's where it ends though.

DDP is a lumbering manimal in everything from his upright gait, to skills, and also fight IQ, he wins matches on survival instinct alone… am I right…?

Dricus is not slow in terms of handspeed. Watch him hit pads. He is just awkward with the chin up karate style. He is one of the few guys that will throw while moving backwards. Most fighters will set their feet before striking but Driscus will throw strike while in motion or off balanced. He also prefers to move forward and backwards. I don't think he will have an easy time with Rob but this report is not really giving him his due.

Definately think you're wrong. I think Dricus could for sure beat jared, strickland and vettori.
Yeah? How? He can't take them down, he has worse cardio, worse striking. He didn't even beat anybody close to their level and struggled in fights against guys who should retire

He's a dog that doesn't quit he keeps coming. He's not the most technical but he's tough and wills his way to victory he has intangibles that the others don't, It's not always how it looks on paper.

Yeah, but Whittaker isn't? Come on, the storm he survived against Romero. Vettori is a fucking tank. He's not Tony Ferguson

were weren't talking about whittaker, I was talking about vettori strickand and cannonier.

Yeah and Vettori is a fucking tank, Strickland is also a savage. Canonier is more skilled. Really, DDP is one of the worst fighters who got into top 5 at least in 185. Don't get me wrong, of course he's a great fighter. Anyone who makes it to UFC and does well there is a savage

I think that Whittaker finishes Dricus here, either late in Rd2. or in Rd3.

Whittaker's cardio will be top-notch (he said in interviews he has been in camp for 13 or 14weeks) and Dricus does seem to go TOO HARD in Rd.1 and then suffers for the rest of the fight, but usually manages to pull it out of the bag.

Whittaker by TKO late in Rd2 or anytime in Rd3 as an exhausted Dricus fades badly and gets constantly tagged against the fence.

Normally I like these reports, but this one was awful. For one, it says DDP's jab is nonexistent? WTF? That's like one of the only things he does by the book. He has a very good jab, ask Till or Tavares.
